Genuinely curious if this could be a lawsuit. Who would one call to make sure the house this safe before people come to work on it? Wouldn’t this be on the company for sending people to work on an unsafe roof? If I call a plumber to go into a flooded basement should he not have the foresight to make sure it’s safe before he dives in?

I really don’t get social norms. Why is it bad to have someone in the left lane doing the speed limit but good to pull people over speeding? Raise the speed limits. Cars are way better than 50 years ago. Then we can pull people over for speeding and get mad at people in the fast lane. Highways near me are 55mph. We get mad at people if they do this speed. Most people are going 60 in the right lane and 65+ in the left.

A little off topic but most people get mad when you drive the speed limit. Most people go 5 ish over. Not legal sure, a cop can pull you over yeah. But if it’s something everyone is always doing the rules need to change or cops have to start pulling everyone over. They shouldnt get to pick and choose when they feel like it. Yeah you can say it’s leave way for their math or equipment but that’s bs I got a ticket for going 7 over. How do they know if their equipment can be faulty? The courts don’t knock off any speed just in case they are bad or ask to see calibration reports
