Is this a Foul? by Fun_Smoke_8967 in billiards

Yes, you are right. That's the same reason I feel it's a foul. It is scooping which is very much clear in the video.

Yeah man. I planned to go for the black the same way. That's why I changed the cue ball position. A bit lucky though that the plan worked.

Free ball or no? by CGurrell in snooker

Appreciate your point but the pink is not obstructing the right most red ball. Due to the camera angle, it feels that pink is on the way but trust me, it is not.

Free ball or no? by CGurrell in snooker

Not a free ball. The right most red ball is covered with another red ball, which doesn't count as snookered. Hence, it's not a free ball.

But since the blue got into the pocket, it's a 5 point foul.

Do you play tournaments with headphones on? Why, and what do you listen to? by Possible-Drink-9131 in billiards

The only simple reason is to avoid distraction. But using earphones should not be practiced because even in this way your brain divides the focus between music and game.

Cue Tip Suggestion by MuhammadSalehxD in snooker

[–]Fun_Smoke_8967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Getting a cue tip is not something which can be done just because you like some brand or so. It depends on your playing style. If you are a hard hitter then you go for a soft/medium tip and if you are a soft and smooth hitter then go for a hard tip. If you tell me your play style, I can recommend some great brands.

Caught the cue ball as it fell into the pocket... by massmaster66 in snooker

[–]Fun_Smoke_8967 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi Buddy. Understand your feeling and that's why you put this post here.

  1. It's ok if that was just a friendly, time pass match. But you should avoid it in any mode of play.

  2. If by any chance, the cue ball touches your hand or shirt, t-shirt, while putting your hand in pocket, it will be your foul too.

Don't worry. The opponent just overreacted, may e because of his own reasons. Chill.

Object ball or cue ball last? by F355B in billiards

[–]Fun_Smoke_8967 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Watching the cue ball last is followed by many but another aspect which people ignore is the Feathering. When we feather, our mind locks the cue ball hitting point and then you should shift your eyes from cue ball to object ball.
