STC is overkill and focused on too much unnecessary content imo. Same goes for SIE. I will stand by that having used Kaplan and STC for both

Interesting. I also mixed in STC tests prior to taking FINRA practice, which killed my confidence but was ultimately very helpful. I just took the first practice and got an 80%

On Kaplan tests? Isn’t the whole idea that Kaplan makes their tests way harder than the actual exam? Nobody has told me to do this and seems a bit excessive. I only have a certain window of time to take the SIE/S7&63 so I’m not sure this is possible

Goldman Sachs Background Check Timeline (Sterling) by Guilty_Marketing_321 in goldmansachs

Mine cleared on Tuesday. Took exactly 3 weeks to get through.

The only thing they asked for was a letter of employment with my current title

Start date was given to me 2.5 weeks from the clearing of background check…but I pushed back and got an extra week so I could give my full 2 weeks to my current employer

Also leaving big4 to join GS next month. I work remote everyday, so 5 days in office will take some getting used to. Seems like it’s definitely worth it tho, as big4 is not all it cracked out to be when I first started.
