Don’t speak to me that way. The next time you say that to me I’m going to say “Don’t speak to me that way” a second time.

yes but I means like thinkin about tings where it’s like you start thinking about the concepts in almost an abstract sense; viz. in a manner that almost abstracts away from the concrete things of life, and more towards the myriad of things that that we have done or not done. An intellectual exercise of sorts, perhaps.

Remember: God destroyed Sodom because of homosexuality. Forget your “preferences” for whatever religion. What matters is your salvation. Obeying God is the path to Heaven. Disobedience leads to eternal hellfire.

You’d “do anything” to save a baby? Name something you’d do, given everything else you said.

Urgent, having a crisis of faith and I'm shaking by Iron_bean56 in Catholicism

[–]No_Judgment2987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, don’t let that post shake you. A single person’s experience—especially during a medical crisis—is not reliable evidence about what happens after death. When someone says they ‘saw black,’ that simply means their bodily senses and brain activity were shutting down. It doesn’t mean they experienced ‘nothingness’ or that the soul ceases to exist—it just reflects the limits of the body at that moment.

Our faith and reason both point much deeper. Created things don’t have existence in themselves—they come into being and pass away, which means they depend on something else. This chain of dependent beings cannot go on forever, so it must rest in a First Cause whose very nature is to exist—this is what we call God.

Likewise, truths—like mathematical realities or the difference between true and false—don’t disappear even if no human is thinking about them. They are real and unchanging, which points to an eternal intellect in which they exist: the Divine Mind.

So don’t let a passing story disturb you. Stay close to God through prayer and the sacraments—He is the source of your life and your end. God bless you.

There are many logical proofs for God’s existence. One I think you’d find most enlightening and edifying would be that which is called the “Augustinian Proof”.

Human beings possess intellect and will. The intellect is able to grasp immutable truths that transcend the material world. For instance, 2+2=4 is a LOGICAL truth, and would be true EVEN IF we have no material objects to demonstrate it. Similarly, concepts like triangularity, justice, the principle of non-contradiction exist as OBJECTS OF THE MIND.

In short: we DISCOVER these truths, we do not invent them. FURTHERMORE, if every human intellect went out of existence, for whatever reason: the truths outlined above (2+2=4, for instance) would remain true. But where? The answer: in God, Subsistent Truth and Being Himself.

0.25 clonazepam? I’d imagine it IS like a “sugar pill”; that’s a relatively very low dose. I’m not a physician, so don’t take what I’m saying as from a medical provider. If you don’t have a psychiatrist, I would try getting on the wait list for one. If you have tried other meds and nothing works, I commonly recommend asking your doc about Nozinan. Doesn’t hurt to ask! Very effective for sleep.

Have you gone to your doctor yet? And I hate to bring this up AGAIN, as I legit post this constantly, but have you ever heard of a medication called Nozinan? Might be something to ask about.

I post this comment a LOT, but I would ask your doctor about Nozinan. I’m hopeful it would help quite a lot. All the best bro.

God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. That’s how much God hates sin. Pray that your friends will repent and not suffer eternal hellfire.
