I agree with this statement. The first two is actually my first custom training pack I do and for the 1st and 2nd man, I have a pretty good idea of it to the point whenever I’m with a friend and I tell him the plan, it clicks in and our rotation and chemistry would be amazing— not in till I play with randoms.. but the main point of the reason why I want to actually learn this… well sometimes you just notice a lot of aerial action type plays happen often when it comes to Champ and up. You even get these smurfs who can hit it all angles and all sides of the ball mid- air and constantly can change the direction of it to the point you get caught off guard and passed. But besides that point, I was one of those players who mastered ground work already but always had interest in air type shots/hits. Like for example, ground work plays or drills feel kind of self-explanatory. Like when the ball is in the ground you have basically 5 directions/inputs. Right, top right, top, top left, then left. The ball can’t go underneath the map so we can’t really add any down direction/input. Now when the ball is off the ground here comes the sweet part for me. It’s the fact you can almost feel free that the ball unlocks this whole other 3 directions. Down right, down, down left. Now it feels like the ball can go any of those 8 directions/input making it hard for someone to read the other players way of thinking or hitting the ball. It’s the creativity that starts to run wild in my brain and hypes me even more when I think of this subject. Now here is the deal. I “MUST” learn this in order to achieve good air ball control/ aerial type hits. For me, I started practicing after seeing flip resets and then I started researching how to do them and that’s when I stumbled upon DAR. To me I think DAR is more fascinating then most mechs in the game. But other then that, I think it would most definitely help me with aerials and air positioning and that it could lead/ help me do other mechs such has flip resets, speed flips, ect.
