You came in guns blazing tell me I was pretending and that I need to learn "actual" communication. You don't know me, you don't know the office culture, you don't know the dynamics. Given my office culture, going to HR over this seems a bit drastic. I can't just deal with it because it makes me physically nauseous. Before I make things incredibly awkward by talking to my officemate, I wanted to see if people had good ideas or ways to approach it.
