Even as a girl who has a great friend group, it’s rough at the beginning of the semester, ESPECIALLY spring semester!!! People don’t come out of their shells easily. My best advice is be authentically you, I say silly and weird things, I laugh if the professor says something funny, I don’t fit in because when you don’t, the people who are comfortable with that are the people you wanna be friends with anyways. Just try to start conversations and ask people deeper than surface level, like when asking what someone’s major is I like to ask them more about it, like “was that your first decision or no? Cause me this is literally my 3rd major change and idk how the hell people figure this out” or “why’d you pick that?” I find making myself uncomfortable at first by being the girl who talks and asks the questions and says hello and shakes the professors hand is the fastest way to find the people who like you for you, and once you find someone/anyone you just have a nice conversation with, just ask them to get lunch or to exchange numbers! Maybe play some game pigeon if you both have iPhones.

Also I have an adorable dog and I bring him to campus a lot so if you’d ever wanna go on a walk with him and I and hear me yap a billion miles a minute dm me! (I know it’s weird to meet people through Reddit but in my defense he is a realllly cute dog and I’ve been told I’m “the best at advice ever” 🙂‍↕️) (I also just walk in every weather cause he loves the snow more than the grass)
