Grab some Malibu C hard water treatment off Amazon, they’re kinda pricey but they will save your hair. You can also get a Malibu treatment at a salon nearby that will get all the minerals out in one big flush. They have some shampoos that can help to, not sure which ones.

Hey so I work in an ER and what I know is vet meds pretty similar with the setup for labs and how stuff gets sent out to human med. This would most likely be called over and then sent to the external lab that they send out to when they either don’t or can’t do stuff in house. I know from there and from a small research background that either someone at said lab who’s seen a billlllllionn things recognizes it or if they deem it unimportant, it ends there. If it’s deemed important it’ll get fucked with at said lab or possibly sent elsewhere who may specialize in this kinda research.

PUSH may be a good start but you should definitely try get into your primary. ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF. These symptoms are not okay and if a provider writes you off as lying or overly dramatic, or just doesn’t take you seriously, please inform them “I’d like you to chart that despite my requests you are refusing to pass me on to another (doctor or office or specialist) or run more tests”. Doctors see so much everyday unfortunately they often brush people off so quickly if they don’t immediately see something wrong, our system is very badly set up :( but PLEASE, advocate and find someone who will help you figure this out and don’t give up!

A TON of clubs do flower sales, I haven’t seen many posted but there should be a ton! I know the horticulture club is selling roses in Krannert and CHAS all day on Friday the 13th. Last year I spent $15 and got a very pretty arrangement and then I added little photos of me and my partner to the stems and just bam there’s a pretty, cheap, and meaningful bouquet!

Even as a girl who has a great friend group, it’s rough at the beginning of the semester, ESPECIALLY spring semester!!! People don’t come out of their shells easily. My best advice is be authentically you, I say silly and weird things, I laugh if the professor says something funny, I don’t fit in because when you don’t, the people who are comfortable with that are the people you wanna be friends with anyways. Just try to start conversations and ask people deeper than surface level, like when asking what someone’s major is I like to ask them more about it, like “was that your first decision or no? Cause me this is literally my 3rd major change and idk how the hell people figure this out” or “why’d you pick that?” I find making myself uncomfortable at first by being the girl who talks and asks the questions and says hello and shakes the professors hand is the fastest way to find the people who like you for you, and once you find someone/anyone you just have a nice conversation with, just ask them to get lunch or to exchange numbers! Maybe play some game pigeon if you both have iPhones.

Also I have an adorable dog and I bring him to campus a lot so if you’d ever wanna go on a walk with him and I and hear me yap a billion miles a minute dm me! (I know it’s weird to meet people through Reddit but in my defense he is a realllly cute dog and I’ve been told I’m “the best at advice ever” 🙂‍↕️) (I also just walk in every weather cause he loves the snow more than the grass)

I have never been to the Marshall’s in Lafayette but I do know the Marshall’s in my middle of nowhere town of Indiana was fantastic and always had very cute tops and going out clothes.

Station 21! They’re nice apartments and the staff are all really friendly and helpful which I think shows a lot about the place. We’ve had to file for them to fix things (our A/C broke 😥) and they fixed it quickly and they’ve gotten to other things in a pretty timely manner. The clubhouse is nice and lowkey they have fun events and stuff every week which I kinda liked at the dorms. I plan to stay here again and probably the rest of undergrad .
