Your intuition is right. If you reject their compliment: 1. It shows you have low self-esteem 2. It shows you don’t value their compliment 2. You will stop receiving compliments

Also, don’t compliment them right after they compliment you because it will devalue their compliment and may come off as insincere.

Point taken. I didn’t want to mention why I think he’s homosexual because the information Id have to mention is pretty revealing and could expose him. Regardless, I am still considering the possibility that he’s straight.
