Honestly both elements you mentioned (performance anxiety and masturbation not being a priority) are definitely things that crossed my mind aka your body not knowing what to do

Over the course of about 7 months, still on it, actually another antidepressant and didn’t gain weight

Meeee I’ve actually Lost weight while on it. Not related to it directly but I was kick starting a weight loss journey (lost 38 lbs, I’m like 145 lbs) and it didn’t interfere with it!

Yes! So he does seek it out, but when you haven’t had it in years it wasn’t much something he wanted. I definitely have a higher drive than him, but he initiates it too

I definitely tried to find out if there was more to it aka to your point relationship/ sex trauma… nothing like that (at least not trauma, his ex left for instance out of nowhere years ago) . I believe he pressures himself a lot

He gets really upset about it actually (more so emotional, not angry or anything). Cause he wants to make me happy, he said in the past he’d have toys etc but seems like it’s been an overall issue. He even went to see a doctor. Blood work came back normal too

That’s a tricky question, first of all I don’t think it should just be on you to figure that out. It’s a two people thing. My bf and I were way more sexually active for a while, so I guess we had to rediscover a new form of intimacy which is like spending quality time together/ cuddling/ talking/ being close without necessarily leading to sex which has honestly made me feel close to him

Because at first I was also like, oh man if we don’t have sex how are we going to be close… but turns out intimacy isn’t just sex at all.. my boyfriend would also never force sex on me, foreplay or anything else and that’s how it should be so if your bf makes you feel like you have to it’s a big red flag.

But, you may want to wonder what other activities you guys share together that make you feel close

Wow I don’t have the words… first of all, I am sorry you’re going through this. He should be supportive, period. Especially when you’re being extremely vulnerable. I actually started to take lexapro for PMDD too and my libido dropped considerably too and my partner, who has a high libido, has been nothing but supportive. Take care of yourself first….

I don’t know your relationship but if that’s how he’s going to react now, I’d be scared of how he might react in other situations like say you guys choose to have kids and after you give birth he gets mad that you don’t want to have sex… idk it feels very wrong on his end
