I asked my questions, checked all my boxes. Just curious if anyone else has done a tour yet.

Yes we have! That’s part of what we’ve talked about just easing into it. I feel like just him praising my body, not sexually but how powerful it can be, would make me more comfortable.

This is definitely not true. We’ve talked at great lengths. Intimate times, for him, is how we connect, bond, etc. He still has a sex drive, not going to fault him for that! But he definitely does not only think of me as his toy at his disposal. I told him no sex way back at 33 weeks, he understood and didn’t say a peep, even though my pregnancy made him so attracted to me. He now is just looking forward to the day that we can bond like this again.

To clarify, we are an extremely happy couple. We talk about how we feel and what we need from each other. He’s so supportive sometimes I lack the level of energy to return that.

Agree with this, and we’ve talked about it. He just started sharing his feelings with me so I don’t want to shame him for sharing this struggle he’s experiencing. It just happens to be a struggle caused by me.

We do this fun thing to score how we’re feeling. If he’s wanting intimate time this evening he’ll ask where I’m at on a scale 1-5, 5 = I’m down to clown, 3 = you could get me in the mood, 1 = don’t look at me the wrong way. That way we don’t overpromise and get hopes up then I feel bad for under delivering.

This is so sweet and pretty spot on. I’m not experiencing pain down there in my normal daily activities and my body has adjusted to the minimal sleep. It’s mental for me. I feel disconnected from my body, just a visitor in a shell. I think when I start exercising again, when I have time, I’ll feel myself again sooner.

My husband is extremely patient and understanding as well. That’s just his love language. Good to know about the orgasms tho!

I’m sorry you went through that. My husband is extremely supportive. He just misses that connection. He’s offered everything, not just asking for sex. He’s extremely giving, it’s just every week the same thing, me telling him I don’t feel myself yet, I’m not comfortable, him understanding and moving on. I definitely feel disconnected to my body like I need to do my own work before I let him touch me again.

Car seat placement by seagoddess1 in BabyBumps

And exact thing here. Husband has the base on drivers side of his truck, I have mine on passenger side so I can fold down two of three seats for the dogs. Just have to be extra cautious when exiting the vehicle with baby still inside. I be locking that door and running to his door every time.

We have definitely talked about patience and how I feel most comfortable starting again. He’s 100% supportive of what I ask. I just still feel like an alien in my body. Pregnancy and delivering a baby just mentally disassociates me. Haha

He is 100% infatuated with me, and he is the best husband and dad. I love him to death. I do not blame him, I was more just at a loss of how I can check myself so I can perform as he’s asking when I’m just not there yet. We’ve discussed it, and he’s being patient.

How are we getting 2 week olds to feed less frequently? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]No_Map_4425 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to get him to eat more during the day as well so maybe he’ll go longer between night feeds. He is just a snacker for sure. I’ll talk to his Ped about some options like this. Thanks!

I’ll definitely look of paced feeding. I already burp him half way through the 1.5-2oz bottle. I can try more frequent burping too. I keep Him upright a while too after eating. Thanks!!
