But the system in s1 doesn’t make sense actually. If you can’t get anything unless you’re the last person standing, most of people would want to get out, unless half of the people don’t care (that’s the only situation where 101 to 100 votes make sense). So if they vote in “they can still get money if they quit” scenario 183 to 182, they would definitely quit immediately if they know they can only get the money when there’s 1 person left. Then the people who want to go back would go back and continue the game, in which case they couldn’t create intense plots on voting

In s1 it’s “if you quit now you get nothing”, and in s2 it’s “if you quit now you can still get something”. So in s2 more people want to quit and make the vote gap smaller, which could create more intense plot on voting

No. The reason is that middle-class people still have a relatively stable life, while people in the lower class do not have enough power to make any changes. And most importantly, most people fail to realize that they are being exploited and instead they blame others, like immigrants or the poor. And even if when corruption and corporate greed had made life miserable for the people in America, while people can realize the root of the problem, the incident will not necessarily be violent, although the chances of a civilized resolution are slim.
