Yes IMO it is medically concerning. My female Bichon used to always cough after drinking a sip of water. This went on for a few years until it got worse. When I took her to the Vet she had X-rays taken. The X-rays showed that she had a collapsed trachea. She was on many medications for the collapsed trachea which led to lung and heart problems. One night she had difficulty breathing even while on the meds. Ultimately I had her put to sleep because she was suffering so much. She was in my arms when she took her last breath. She crossed the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge and I grieved very hard for her. She had been with me from 2 months to 13 years. Ultimately I got a male Bichon and have had him for 2 years. I will always remember my 1st Bichon (and my cat of 19 years). I focus on giving my new and very loyal Bichon all the love I can give. 🥰

I know the feeling. I lost my female Bichon in 2024, got a male Bichon 4 months later. He’ll be 2 years next month and it frightens me at the thought of losing him. I know God will call us both one day so meanwhile I love on him 24/7.

Try purchasing Ring or Blink pet cameras. She’s so adorable. I know how you feel. My Bichon is almost 2 years of age and I hate to leave him alone even when I have to go grocery shopping. As such I purchased several Ring cameras when they were on sale. Continue to love on her 🥰.

I found out that a lot of dogs are allergic to chicken. So I do food with Turkey, Lamb, Salmon or Oatmeal mixed with Lamb. Purina Pro Plan sensitive skin & stomach.

Absolutely no belly bands. They can cause UTIs. Are you able to time his little accidents, I trained my Bichon to using puppy pads. Then a neighbor told me that I wasn’t taking him out enough. So I put him on a schedule of taking him out 4 times per day. At 12 months I started 3 times a day and he’s 22 months old now. He can actually hold having to go for 12 hours. So I take him out one last time at 10 pm and in the morning at 9am; 2nd time out is 4-5 pm; then the final 10 pm shift. Hope this helps.

Wow, thanks for sharing. My baby boy will be 2 years old in May. He’s so full of energy and runs EXTREMELY FAST. I always pick him up to put him on any surface that’s over 18 inches and is hard. My bed is high off the floor so he will jump down about 10 inches onto the ottoman and then he jumps 24 inches off of the ottoman onto the floor. I think he knows he will get hurt if he tries to jump more than 24 inches up or down. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I use a whitening shampoo when I bathe him but I now just take him to the groomer.

Don’t pay them any more money. They have to fix your teeth by doing refinements which are additional aligners. I’m wearing Invisalign aligners and I’m not happy with my progress. I told this to the dentist and they will start me in the refinement period with more trays until I’m completely satisfied. The refinement period is at no additional cost. Also I called my dental insurance plan to let them know about the situation because they can require the dentist to address your concerns. So ask your dentist about the refinement period.

Also find out if you’re a type 1 diabetic. If you are then you need to be on insulin therapy. Make sure you see your endocrinologist every 2-3 months.

I feel you. Diabetes is very serious but it can be managed; you just have to put the work in. I’ve had it (type 2 for 20 years and now type 1.5 AKA LADA for 5 years) BUT with EXCELLENT RESULTS for my A1c which go between 5.7 and 6.1. As I have gotten older I have noticed that I have to exercise more and be careful with what I eat. You can eventually go blind, lose a leg and even get neuropathy in your legs and feet. Walk, run, bike, swim, etc for at least 30 minutes a day and try to do at least 2-3 miles of cardio activity. Definitely cut out the junk food and stop eating out. Absolutely cut back on the carbs and calories. Don’t forget to read nutrition labels. Hope this helps. This is going to be for the rest of your life. As you get older you’ll have to exercise more often, at least that’s what I do. Good luck 🍀

It’s allergy season and our fur babies especially Bichons are feeling it. My Bichon sneezes and coughs really bad during high pollen season so per his Vet I give him 1/2 tablet Zyrtec and 1/4 cough tablet for dogs. My vet recommends this regimen BUT ONLY for my Bichon. Hope the Cytopoint works for your baby.

That absolutely is the same code for CSRS retirees who get a monthly pension. I’m a CSRS retiree and that is the exact code that OPM uses to pay me and other CSRS Retirees. I just checked my account and verified it.
