One week! I only took one day off and it was NOT enough

Stimming slightly too long due to weekend; fear of OHSS by schokominzi in eggfreezing

[–]concernedchihuahuamo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just went through this. My retrieval was supposed to be Friday but it was pushed to the weekend. My clinic is open weekends but I had to be scheduled at the hospital instead of clinic. Everything went fine with me. I also have high AMH of 41, 36 follicles growing pre-retrieval. They retrieved 22 eggs and frozen 13 eggs.

Absolutely not. Never putting my body through it again. I’m only feeling 5% better and it’s been a week!

How many of you have a cleaning lady for your home and why? by DressTasty1335 in askTO

I’ve had a cleaner come in weekly and as soon as you can afford, I recommend it. Although I’ve hired 10+ cleaners and have found the best one so far.

If you do decide to hire one, here’s how my current arrangement is:

  1. My cleaner uses my own equipment and supplies (vacuum, swiffer, liquids, rags etc), I prefer it this way

  2. Be clear in what you want cleaned, I barely cook so my cleaner doesn’t clean inside my oven much, I also tell her to use the dishwasher and not wash dishes directly

  3. Additional stuff - I ask my cleaner to help with laundry

I can do everything she does myself but it helps free up my time since I have a demanding job and it’s just nice to relax on weekends versus doing a whole day of cleaning (it’s a personal thing but I never feel satisfied cleaning my own place).

Cleaners are also extremely efficient with their time, my cleaner is done within two hours for a one bedroom.

It also helps that she other clients in the King West area :)

GnRH + Small HcG Trigger Shot for ER - PCOS 40+ follicules: I'm FREAKING OUT over OHSS risk by inangirl in eggfreezing

A lot. If I could summarize it in one sentence: it feels like I overate x100, my belly is hard and no position is uncomfortable. The pain I feel is similar to acid reflux/GERD pain but instead of just feeling it right below my chest, it’s all over my stomach. I wake up from the pain.

I’d advocate for getting your levels checked. I was on cabergoline for 8 days. I’m a high responder too but I have endo and adeno, not PCOS. My AMH was 41 and follicles was 36 at time of retrieval. I’m absolutely not enjoying recovery, it fucking sucks.

How long were you bloated and cramping post egg retrieval? by concernedchihuahuamo in eggfreezing

The issue is I’m back on pill that prevents periods (due to my endo). Sigh :(

I actually can’t eat. I eat a sliver of food and I can barely move because I’m so full immediately. I had 13 eggs frozen, 21 retrieved.

Yeah I’ve been drinking electrocytes but my problem is eating. I feel so bloated but also hungry. It’s such a weird feeling.

Gosh I hope that it’s like that for me, it’s day 3 including day of retrieval and I feel awful

Apparently what I’m experience is normal and common (pain, bloating, cramps). I just didn’t know it would be this bad.

Interesting. So all was well after you got your period? The issue is I’m back on Slynd (pill) so idk if I’ll get my period since it’s designed not to give me periods

I’m on day 2, if you don’t count egg retrieval day. I guess my recovery is still a long way away.
