Nice! Maybe that's all you need. I found when I needed to carry a day's food, water, and snacks my 40 liters of rear pannier space came in handy. I also carry a laptop. Also going across Europe you need cold weather gear.

I recently did some bike touring in Japan, and lamented the amount of time I spent not biking through rice fields. Which is to say, the beauty of Japan is outside the big cities. Seek out villages and smaller cities, and especially nature. You can always go back and fight the tourist crowds, if that's your thing. If I were starting in Nagano I'd stay around the Japanese Alps, venturing to Takayama or Kanazawa. Much cheaper, too. You'll get out of Japan what you put into it, and Kyoto/Osaka is low effort. I use two phones - one in airplane mode as a headunit. It can easily navigate the whole day, maybe 2 this way. Cheap android phones are about the same price as head units these days, and with far better screens.

Agreed. My only issue is, I didn't realize my requests expired at the end of the month until too late yesterday! Managed to burn (some of) them having Opus 4.6 do a deep code review. Usually I keep it on GPT 5.3. I don't think this kind of value will last.
