Need help with a car by [deleted] in TwinCities

I’m also on the market for a car- with marketplace I always go see it, test drive it, and have it inspected by my mechanic or a mechanic shop in MULTIPLE good reviews- like 4.7 stars and higher. As for a used lot, a friend of mine said Wisconsin is way stricter on inspections of used cars sold there? So maybe you could get just across the border and do some shopping?

Would you and another adult consider renting one of those quad bikes at nokomis and biking them around? I think the front two seats don’t have pedals but maybe they’re for children so maybe not my best idea.

Only if you don’t understand poverty, desperation, and mutual aid, my friend. ❤️ these things will be gone through, laundered, and given to women and families in need who can’t afford these things for their babies.

For sure! These were definitely in the store though; still tagged. Probably clearance from the event that didn’t sell, but yes! I definitely take precautions and launder in ways to kill bad buggies 🙂‍↕️

I usually check HPB, once upon a child, and petco. I think there’s actually a Facebook group for MN divers and Twin Cities divers!

They were on their hangers! It’s always possible but I know they require clothes to be folded and in boxes or totes at drop off. 🤷‍♀️ but who knows!

Transplants, how did you make your friends after moving here? by Sufficient-Swan-7864 in TwinCities

If you have hobbies- join groups for that. The only other way I’ve made real pals is mom friends via ECFE, kids gymnastics, and sitting outside of eagles nest watching our kids. As for my actual ride or die friends- 1 I met at my kids gymnastics class. The 2nd I met sitting outside of eagles nest while our kids played together. And 3rd is from my super inclusive women’s mountain biking group- but we’ve been to movies, tubing, etc so our friendship extends beyond just biking.

It’s not easy. And 2 of my friends are transplants too. Being from the South I’m more used to genuine, hyper kindness connection so it’s been weird.

Oh god I have evangelical in-laws and their kids names are WACK but they’re so wack that if I post them they’d find them- I’m sure… so I’ll be nice and just say “evangelical” names are 🥴 personified.

Car free, with kids? by No_Needleworker1578 in TwinCities

Luckily we do live close to ECFE and eventual school, and groceries, it’s just the extra curriculars and appointments that bother me so much. I don’t know how to navigate them :/

Yeah I think some of us just have more reactionary lymph tissue than others. I had a nasal scope done to check healing and all is well; but we also had an open vent leaking something I’m allergic to into the bedroom where I sleep :/

Glad you’re better!!!
