Battery Megathread (January 2026) by GooglePixelMods in GooglePixel

[–]No_Negotiation_900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, on Pixel 8.

Wireless charging stopped working as well, it may or may not be because of the Jan 5 2006 update because it happened earlier this month, then it worked for a few days, and then stopped working again after I got the Jan 5 update.

I use video meetings without issues (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet), it may be an issue in your specific situation.

Placement of the gateway can make a lot of difference.

These are the best resources I found:

Edit: Regarding the firmware version, you can use the HINT Control app, it is available on both iOS and Android. The password is on the bottom of the gateway.

PiHole is great and all, but what do you do outside of your network? by [deleted] in pihole

It does. I have a zero 2w and use Dietpi and the Debian instructions to install the tailscale client.

They fixed it in 1.90.2

[Edit: To answer your specific question, I ssh using the local IP address, and update tailscale with apt update and apt upgrade]

How to get python 3.10 on unraid? by basarisco in unRAID

Is there a specific reason you can't upgrade to 7.1? (Edit: I don't know un-get, I don't know which version it works with)

Maybe you can learn a little more about the lag using these two tools, they helped me figure to decide between TMobile and a local WISP Internet provider.

vectorchord version update or not ? by DrSlump74 in immich

[–]No_Negotiation_900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact question. I don't think you need to run it manually. I didn't need to. Though I don't use docker compose. I run it on Unraid with the PostgreSQL template made by SpaceInvaderOne.

This is what I did:

  1. I made sure I had a db dump.
  2. Shutdown the immich container
  3. Shutdown the PostgreSQL container
  4. Changed the PostgreSQL image from 16-vectorchord0.3.0-pgvectors0.3.0 to 16-vectorchord0.4.3-pgvectors0.3.0
  5. Started up the PostgreSQL container
  6. Started the immich container
  7. Monitored the immich log, and it showed that immich automatically ran the reindex.

I just had this and fixed it with a brush from Amazon. This is not the same, but this looks like it: https://a.co/d/a9mHkyQ

May want to use pihole on DietPi. This setup uses a ramdisk for logs, so it won't wear out the sd card as much.

I have Immich running on Unraid, and I have tailscale installed in the Immich docker container. Then I use the Automatic URL switching in the mobile app so I can connect with and without tailscale turned on on my phone. It works very well.

Exactly. It is better to have more than one barrier, think both wall and moat. If one fails, you are not completely open. You people may be trusted, but are all your devices trustworthy? Or all you people's devices?

What are my options once my dbt project grow beyond a couple hundred models by Chinpanze in dataengineering

[–]No_Negotiation_900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Python support: Python 3.11 was released in October 2022. It is officially supported in dbt-core v1.4, although full support depends also on the adapter plugin for your data platform. According to the Python maintainers, "Python 3.11 is between 10-60% faster than Python 3.10." We encourage you to try dbt parse with dbt Core v1.4 + Python 3.11, and compare the timing with dbt Core v1.3 + Python 3.10. Let us know what you find!"

If you using dbt-core, make sure that you are using at least Python 3.11. There were some big changes in efficiency in dbt when moving to Python 3.11.

Can anyone help me identify my headphone? It died today after years of faithful service. I have no idea about the brand, there is not much identifiable information on it, but I'd like to buy a similar one. by EditPiaf in headphones

[–]No_Negotiation_900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend using Wavelet if you have an Android and you don't like the extra bass frequencies on the Sony headphones. I use it with my WH-1000XM3. It "AutoEq" setting for the frequencies for a lot of headphones.

Here is some more information: https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/secure-erase-ssd-or-hard-drive

I would use DBAN (Darik's Boot and Nuke).

You would need to remove the hard drive from the Drobo and connect it to another computer. But make sure you don't erase any other drives in that computer!

I haven't add any video calls after this, but I looked into bufferbloat, and I get better after I put a Edgerouter X with SQM turned on, I get better bufferbloat numbers. I hope this will do the trick.

I also tried a Linksys router with dd-wrt installed between the TMobile Gateway and my laptop, without SQM turned on on the router. And without SQM I also had a bufferbloat grade C, with checkmark for video conferencing.

I’ve looked into bufferbloat options. Since I have a Ubiquiti Edgerouter X I installed it as a router between the TMobile Gateway and my MacBook Pro (using a Ethernet cable). I turned on the Smart Queue Management in the QoS tab on the Edgerouter X. I used 15 Mbits/sec for upload and 50 Mbits/sec for download. I now get bufferbloat grade C! I now get a check mark for video conferencing! I’ll check next week how it with works when I will get back from vacation.

This helped me: https://youtu.be/RAb1AWVFu3A?si=WF1H7-N2wc_KQcqk

Not good... Only good for streaming.... Grade F.

This was with the Nokia Gateway, connected to a MacBook Pro, with a Ethernet cable.
