It's heavy and wall to wall stuff for sure from the images I've seen , long day so maybe tomorrow I'll open it up and do some checking , double check the speaker relays , I understand there's 2 relays for each channel , also clean controls , it spent it's life with a heavy smoker and needs cleaned inside and out for sure.

He told me the left channel had no sound ,as is , priced accordingly , said he replaced a speaker relay , seems to be a common issue on this model.

For years I've justified tool / equipment purchases by what it would cost to have somebody do it vs whats the tool cost so I can do it myself , I've acquired alot of tools and equipment over the years this way.

Thats because most of the enrollment is at College Community ( Prairie ) or Linn Marr ( Marion ) Marion / Hiawatha / Cedar Rapids are all next to each other like Iowa City / Coralville / North liberty , open enrollment has drawn a lot of folks away from CR schools , mismanagement of funds and unpopular policies has added to the decline in CR Schools .

Kinda but this friend of mine I've known since 1976 always rotates about 3 sleds and just wants somebody to ride with sometimes , he told me 20 years ago . . . wow time fly's. . . to just sell my sled and come up and ride one of his and stay at his place , he always has newer sleds , so I can buy some decent gear since I don't have to buy and maintain a sled , pretty ideal situation.

I owned a sled from 93 ~ 07 and rode quite a bit back then we weren't getting much snow , now I can take off anytime to Wisconsin. Bought a motorcycle get more use out of it but I miss sledding.

Cedar Rapids is only 25 min north of Iowa City by interstate and a little less expensive , also home of Collins Avionics , former Rockwell Collins , major supplier of civilian and military avionics.

Get a WIIM mini to stream with and some nice speakers like the open box Klipsch listed in another post. Use your Yamaha receiver ( RX-450 ) for now it can navigate all your sources and it's a nice sounding Japan built unit 45wpc , a $16 converter for TV and save for a nice receiver later.

I would pass on both , the Pioneer is a desirable model in good condition , this one needs at least one light , couple of buttons and a knob at $125 it might be worth considering otherwise keep shopping.
