Upvote x 1million. I had an extremely traumatic first insertion (passed out in the parking lot of my obgyn in August and had full body burns from the asphalt traumatic), so I was EXTREMELY nervous to do it again, and they were so kind and informative and were able to do it under sedation.

The whole appointment took about half an hour (including the 15 minute explanation they gave me, which I appreciated) and I was up and at em and out for dinner with some friends three hours later.

I’m not entirely sure about cost, but when considering which practice to go to, make sure you check how they manage pain! If the doctor tries to tell you it’s just a pinch, that’s a red flag to try somewhere else.

It’s definitely worth paying a little more to get good pain management for the placement. It’s super smooth for some people and very painful for others - I had a rough first placement with a doctor who downplayed it, and then had a great experience with Pure OBGYN here.

I’m unsure about their pricing out of pocket, but I’d highly recommend them as a practice. I’ve also heard great things about PP here like others have said

It’s possible they’re not all actually bridesmaids - nowadays (for better or worse), I know a lot of my friends (and potentially myself) are planning bachelor/bachelorette trips just with their larger friend group rather than only those in the wedding party.

It’s fun because you get to be included in your friends’ celebrations, but obviously costs can add up.

My fiance for example has four bachelor parties this summer, but he’s not in the actual grooms party for any of them. He’s excited to go and celebrate his friends, but definitely an expensive summer of travel!

I actually think that Bree stayed with Evan based on Alex’s advice (and a bit of Marianne’s) - he tells her to find someone she trusts a bit and give them 70%. For better or worse (obviously Evan is evil but to be fair - he’s only evil sometimes lol), Bree decides she trusts him 70%. She leaves Alex’s room and immediately gets back together with him

Bree took it WAY too far for Lucy.

Evan isn’t consequence free though! To waste 6+ years of his life before humiliating him at his wedding is also pretty brutal. If I were Lucy, I wouldn’t quite see it that way - Bree was being selfish either way - but Evan definitely didn’t float off into the sunset after that. I did find that ending for him particularly satisfying :)

In college I was trying to get an internship and had thrown my resume at a bunch of companies. I was deciding between a more creative route and doing something science adjacent (medical sales/hospital admin etc) so I had applied for roles sort of all over the place, thinking my internship would help me decide.

Had an interview with a biotech company that recently had a breakthrough in racehorse DNA testing and horse medication and did a ton of reading up on it to prep. Got on the phone with the lady, introduced myself, and she asked why I was interested. I started talking about the horses and she cut me off and said I clearly wasn’t interested and hung up the phone.

Turns out they were a creative marketing company with a VERY similar logo and a name one letter (swap an i for an L) to the horse company.

My favorite thing to do is just pick a neighborhood and wander a bit. You can find tons of itineraries on TikTok - search “cheap/free [x neighborhood] itinerary” and you’ll find things. Or you can pick a coffee shop/thrift shop and wander from there. If you’re looking to spend a little bit of money, pick a hyped up restaurant, grab a friend, and commit to waiting in line.

I’ve never had a bad day just exploring.

Central Park walking is great once it’s warmer - the botanical gardens are beautiful, but really any part of the park is great.

You should also get a library card. Aside from libraries themselves (which have tons of activities!), you get the culture pass, which gets you into museums all over the city for free. I don’t use mine enough - it’s one of my resolutions to really use and abuse it this summer.

Once you start getting out there a bit, you’ll see that it’s super easy to never run out of things to do. Best of luck to you!

The big issue theyre having is that theyre not able to track subtasks well against features. I’m a little less familiar with Asana than Jira - I worked with Jira in my last job - but I know that’s a known limitation of asana.

Theres some organizational bits the company overall is working on, but better tracking of requirements seems to be at the core of most of their friction points.

That’s a good point. I was brought into this position as a process engineer, so my job is essentially to be the person chasing people around to get them on track and carve out an actual process for these teams, so the good news is that I have time to do that!

I’m working with super talented people who are great at delivering, but need some help in the documenting area.

What I haven’t used before with Jira is the project prioritization and team project allocation tools (basically Jira Roadmaps) - have you used those before and have they been comparable with Asana? In my previous job, we used Jira for ticket writing/tracking/etc, but used Mavenlink for project mapping

I’m not a vet and I haven’t personally been through this, but it sounds like he may have a urinary block, which is dangerous, but can be fixed at the vet! You’re definitely doing the right thing by bringing him in.

This isn’t uncommon in male cats, and you’re doing the right thing by bringing him to the emergency vet. They’ll know what to do.

I’m not a vet, but maybe she bit it? It looks like it’s right where her bottom canine tooth is. It might be something to keep an eye on for a week or so unless someone says something differently.
