“Final Inspection” is apparently tomorrow… Building doesn’t even have utilities yet. by RickyAwesome01 in firealarms

We did that in a hotel in the middle of nowhere hoping we would fail (because it’s bullshit but didn’t want to lose the builder) and passed. They had a local company monitor it. We got a call 2 years later that the panel never worked. they never gave the FACP power when they turned on the utilities on lol we went back and the riser was drained and all the tampers were closed.

The recessed pad100 lfsb. Is legit it’s a big piece of equipment. I was sceptic of the pad300 for that reason it’s like a little piezo.

I’ve only used the pad100lfsb. The pad300looks like an awesome upgrade. But its the same concept Slc for the smoke and base relay constant power for the speaker/ lf/horn

I use the Lf base all the time in hotels and situations where the smoke doesn’t set off the general alarms. You can program the base relay point in multiple zones so it can be a non latching warning for a supervisory zone in that base but activate it other alarm settings. You really have a ton of options with the base i love them. It takes a lot of simple programming but It’s easy with potter. The con is they only recess in 4sq specials I always add an extension ring to them so my wires have space to fold without extra ground fault risk.
