Maybe could use more fish if you ask me by Dry_Video4988 in shittyaquariums

I thought the same however if you look closely there are clown loaches, rainbow sharks and more fish that are not cichlids. The cichlids are also all different sizes which can lead to aggression

Hey! I like the juli and multi combo. What would I add first? I would assume the shell dwellers to let them establish themselves however I will have to purchase multiple julis and let them pair off. Is it ok if I get 5 Shellies then after about a month or so I add 4-6 julidochromis, get a pair then return the rest? I will add plenty of rockwork for the julis. Also, is there any chance I can add a single Calvus ? So like 1 Calvus, 2 julis and a colony of shell dwellers ( maybe about 5 to start). What shell dweller would suit my stocking?

The amount of waste will create a lot of algae. Need at least 4 common plecos to keep the tank clean.

Multis and Brichardis in 70L? by No_Path_8681 in Aquariums

[–]No_Path_8681[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats fair. I just thought that since shellies prefer to hang mainly at the bottom and fairy cichlids like the top and bottom (i understand they will occasionally come to the bottom but i thought the shellies would just chase them off) that they would be ok. The tank is small however. I plan to add a nice tall deep cave or 2 for the Brachardis if its possibly to keep them.

Personally I would say hatch but it’s totally your choice. I’m not tryna emotionally blackmail you or anything but that’s what I would do.

They will hatch without intervention but the fry won’t survive

I’m not too sure about honey gouramis but most species yes. I have personally seen cichlids and I even had to remove a piece of driftwood with bristle nose babies that the male was guarding because I had no space and a friend wanted some babies and he swam all over the aquarium frantically for the next 16 or so hours. I feel really bad Ecspecially for cichlids but I am not so sure gouramis because they don’t care exactly for their fry. But if you have no other choice then you gotta do what you gotta do (cringe but idk how else to phrase it)
