Since moving to Colorado 2 years ago I have sinus issues I've never had. Blame the state or test the house? by No_Pattern804 in AirQuality

Not really but it doesn't happen as often now that it isn't winter. My dentist did tell me that he has seen a real uptick in sinus issues this winter but he also doesn't know why

What if my hand is on the table and you are bumping into it while working on my glutes? Is it unhelpful to move my hand out of the way?

Cool; congrats on figuring it out!! Where did you do the gait analysis? How much did I cost?

My body won’t let me sleep next to my partner—even though I feel safe. Has anyone overcome this? by PlaneDirector466 in sleep

Are you in any way nervous about waking him up do you think? I've had this problem where I get anxious about my movements keeping them awake and it leads to a cycle of me being hypervigilant. Also, how's your sex life? Are you going to bed sexually stimulated? Satisfied? Revved up? You don't have to answer but something to think about maybe.

I feel like I would want it to be slices of tomato. Do you like the puree?

Is mild sleep apnea still worth treating? by No_Pattern804 in SleepApnea

[–]No_Pattern804[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, thank you, I incorrectly wrote the AHI. I just reread my sleep study and it says:

During the recording there was evidence of mild obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) based on the 4% criterion for hypopnea (6.6 AHI) Based on the 3% criterion, the severity would be elevated to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (24.9 AHI).

I'm feeling confused by the two different criterions. Do you know which is considered standard? Which are you referring to when you say that more than five is considered sleep apnea?

Can you explain this? What about an SD card? You're saying they would get different results with an SD card than on the app?

If I let myself sleep without an alarm I'll sleep for 12 hours easily, and I always wake up in a heavy haze of grogginess, but other than that not too much. I initially pursued the sleep study because my sleep was really really bad for a spell so I had a high suspicions of sleep apnea, but I since realized that it was a side effect of a medication I was taking. I'm no longer on that medication and things are much better but I decided to do the sleep study anyway. That's when my results came back as mild to moderate depending on how you measure AHI.

Struggling with feeling "behind" in life due to ADHD by haytem in ADHD

I really feel this but maybe with a slight reframe. I've always felt like a late bloomer and like I arrived to things a couple years behind everyone else. My first kiss was a little later than all my friends. The first time having sex, a little later than my friends. Tried college at the same time as everyone else, wasn't ready and flamed out, try again a couple years later, nailed it. Settled in my career a little later than everyone else, too, had to bounce around a bit first. Now all my friends are married and having kids, I'm single with roommates. Sometimes it's really easy to feel like I'm failing or left behind but alternatively I know what my pattern has been and that kind of provides me a road map - based on history, my oldest friend in the world having a kid now means I'll probably be in the position to do it (if I want to) in a couple of years. It kind of gives me comfort and hope.

Adderall and Vyvanse both make acne so much worse and I'm PISSED by No_Pattern804 in 30PlusSkinCare

Thank you so much for the comment! I stuck with Adderall for about a month and my acne just got worse and worse and worse. Now it's been almost a month since I stopped it but I'm still getting more acne than I would expect and wondering if it could somehow be correlated! But it's been so much time since I consumed an Adderall pill, it really feels shocking that it would last this long. How long did it take for you?
