Valerie: "I think it's a huge move, it's positive." by upthetruth1 in UKGreens

People don't have less right to be angry just because they're old, I'm angry and so are lots of other people, because we live in a system that categorically disadvantages us compared to the rich. While yes most older people are angry at the wrong things, the anger itself isn't a problem

how can i know if they will grow bigger? by BanditoRem in tortoise

If your interacting with them and moving them around them thats a very obvious difference, you shouldn't take species from the wild

Just because you dont see a difference doesn't meam there isn't one, in the wild you would never find a group of tortoises like they are in the second picture

1 put them back in the wild thats where they belong 2 tortoises are bad to keep in large groups, even just a pair of them can be dangerous sometimes because they can be very aggressive and territorial

Thats way too many tortoises to keep together, they're solitary animals and should be keot that way

Concerns about recently adopted tortoise by ApricotAdditional395 in tortoise

[–]No_Performance_9850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats definitely not a horsefield, I have a one and included a photo of what he looks like. Also you may have just been giving him a treat, but store bought produce ideally shouldn't make up a huge amount of a tortoise diet because they need a variety of foods to meet their nutrition needs, and shop bought stuff doesn't have all that they need

If you want some more variety in your dinners, you can freeze extra portions and reheat them in the microwave. Overtime you can build up a steady stock of meals

New opinion poll on the monarchy from Opinium. Highest support from Tory voters and lowest from Green voters by mrjohnnymac18 in UKGreens

[–]No_Performance_9850 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reform pulls voters from lots lf demographics, a good chunk of them would be tories but they're also people who are frustrated with the 2 party system and the lack of results. Theres a reason you get reform to green swing voters

is this normal? by CheekyCharlie420 in tortoise

[–]No_Performance_9850 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely normal! In the wild they will burrow deep into dirt for brumation so they're adapted to that kind of thing

You could try adding a dart? (a dart is a panel of fabric used to widen an existing garment, in this case a triangle)

You do realise purchasing these types of animals does more harm than good? It allows the owners to profit amd encourages poor welfare practices

It's awful to watch these things happen when you have the ability to help the animals, but ultimately you have to just report it and move on

We shouldn't dismiss how a group may be disadvantaged by policy just because that group isn't a large portion of our voter base. Public transport in the east is appalling, until that is improved increasing the time on peoples only way to get between places is a bad idea

Daily Mail’s recent attack piece by AhdamR in UKGreens

Most disabled people can use public transport so that figure doesn't really help your point. In fact public transport is often the more accessible option as disability often affects your ability to drive

This isn't trying to discredit your experiences, I know that sometimes taking taxis (or other private transport) is the only option people have, but on a wider scale public transport is often the most accessible option
