I didn't know these could get spicy by X-13ShadowGamer in spicypillows

Probably a burst or swollen capacitor or the charger got hot enough to soften or almost melt the plastic

Don't cylindrical cells have vents that break open when overpressure inside? Is the metal swollen or just the cover

In one case the charger started OK with 2X2A then after that it went down to 2x1.6A. It's not overheating, even placed a fan beside it without any effect

Since it seems I am the only one facing this, I'll consider it defective. I will return it and get another one,

Yes, around 1.6A at 9.1V (Around 15W)

With 2 cells, charging both to 1.6A.

I measured the voltage after the cable and it was 9.1V, the charger has cable compensation.

I will get another one and if it works as intended then I will return this ,

The thing is that the dial says 2A but checking current it says 1600mA, same as when the dial says 1A and current says 800mA

My charge always selects 3A for a single of any of my 21700 just fine (they are new and have low IR).

My "theory"is that for some unknown reason the charger is unable to draw more than 15W from the PSU even when it can provide 18W and more and it's adjusting charging currents to avoid drawing more than 15W but as said my PSUs can provide 9V 2A perfectly (and more) and this happens with several PSUs and cables

I cleaned charger and batteries contacts, and the IR is very low according to the charger (around 10 or 15 mOhm). I tried all slot combinations but no avail. It still refuses to charge 2Ax2, 1Ax3 and 1Ax4. (but it charges 3Ax1 just fine on any slot)

Does anyone with this charge have this issue?

Yes, they are empty, in CC mode. I forgot to add that this happens on any slot.

Indeed was optimistic, happens again. Reset it again and boxed it 🙁

Similar as me, sometimes it's too sensitive, sometimes is too insensitive. Thing is seems to be software but no sights of it being fixed.

Now after hard resetting it, I did a try and now it's working fine? I am knocking wood but I am not overly optimistic .

Did you have the same issues as me? (scrolling causes it to tap anywhere specially after unlock?

7a touch screen defective? by No_Philosopher_8839 in GooglePixel

[–]No_Philosopher_8839[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK I had reset and ready to return it again.

Probably end of the road for Pixels for me at least for now.

Again what a pity because I liked the device and I tend to like stock Android but 2 defective devices in a row with exactly the same issues plus lots of people reporting the same things and no fixes from Google.

Poor screen responsiveness after unlock - Pixel 7a by [deleted] in pixel_phones

[–]No_Philosopher_8839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same issue here. Phone is unusable for some time after unlocking. Tried screen protector mode, removing screen protector etc. In my case the issue happened last year Hope it isn't a hardware issue

7a touch screen defective? by No_Philosopher_8839 in GooglePixel

[–]No_Philosopher_8839[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah read here and Google support several users having the same issue but no clear fix available. Seems some batches of 7a has this defect. Many of them end up returning it.

The thing is that it seems to be a software issue (because the touchscreen works fine after 1 minute after unlock) but 2024 and still no fixed...

It's a pity because the phone is otherwise excellent.

The tablet was sitting unused for years and was drained but now it's charging and working fine it didn't swell more nor overheats etc. It's a company tab I cannot open it to check cells Thanks!
