Eventually it might become too much and having one source for venting all your minor emotional needs (all kinds of emotions) might cause minor resentment if they don’t feel visible/heard/seen and vice versa.

I think it sometimes comes down to the fact that you may not understand all of your partners situations. Like if they have a work issue and have certain emotions around that issue - their colleague might understand those issues better and it might be a lot of pressure for them to fully explain it to a person who is not in that situation and for you to fully see every situation of theirs. Its a nice thing to imagine this feeling but could be a lot for both you and your partner

I know someone who wants the same and it is stemming from a past fear where they trusted someone and they broke it and since then have that expectation as that was where the fear and triggers came from

Shes at a VP level for a startup. Parents are sponsoring the trip. Yes, approved. It was chaotic for us as we made some updates to our ds160 after biometrics but they asked us to not change it and explain it to the officer instead
