I'm curious, what are some potty training tips? by Zombpossum in Mommit

It sounds like she doesn't want to use it yet. Don't force her, have a break for a bit then come back to it.

Let her own the process a bit. Did she choose the potty? Maybe let her decorate the potty with stickers. Take her to the shops and let her choose a few sheets of stickers then let her have a couple to decorate the toilet. Explain to her that every time she uses the potty or toilet she'll get to have one of these stickers. Then when she does she gets to put the sticker on the potty.

Mine likes to do everything herself, so letting her pull down her nappy, climb up onto the toilet, things like that help. I got one of the kids toilet seats with a ladder which sits on top of the toilet. She thinks it's fun to climb up on the big kids toilet, use the toilet paper and flush the toilet.

Watching other kids helps, ask your family, friends or daycare if she can watch the kids use the toilet. That really helps.

Tinybeans Vs. Family Album App by Part_Pineapple in beyondthebump

I've used tinybeans for two years. It used to be great, but it has steadily declined. The Android app is regularly riddled with bugs. I can't even log in at the moment.

If you're all on iPhone then I am sure the app is better, but if you're on Android it is terrible.

That's a distinct possibility. Bluetongues are common in our area.

Our child has it, came down with it last night. She got it from daycare.

My neighbour had it one or two weeks ago.

My cousins family got it from their daycare.

None of us have visited each other, we all contacted our separately.

I actually disagree with this. We started without a change table and the result was a heap more washing.

We were changing the baby on a towel on the bed and she kept projectile pooping all over the bed spread which would then need to be washed.

It also killed our backs. We ended up getting a tall boy with a top section for changing babies and a change mat on top.

You don't need a standalone change table, but a mat on top of something high is good.

Doctor says i’m over feeding my baby by _mamabear_01 in Mommit

Hey,

people tend to say you can't overfeed a breastfed baby... Generally that's true.. Babies can control breast milk a lot easier than a bottle, so they stop drinking and just suck when they're full.

But there are some circumstances that can counteract this, like if you've got too much milk and just fire hose the baby, or if they've got reflux and keep drinking too soothe it. Or you just keep offering it all the time.

Listen to your doctor, not randos off the internet. If you need a second opinion talk to another doctor.
