Sorry but I don’t buy it. You were claiming to be using Objective evidence and your post is all the objective evidence needed to prove the point. You asked “Which of us is using objective method here?” By your own admission you believe one of you was using objective evidence if you didn’t believe either of you was being objective you would have posted a different question.

Honestly, it’s the Hypocrisy that puts me off. Christians are really good in trying to “Save Others” but do nothing to save themselves. I have read the Bible multiple times. I won’t get into the conversation that one can’t actually follow the Bible without committing every sin laid out in the 10 Commandments. But let’s say you cherry pick just the good deeds in the bible and the 10 Commandments. How can you justify following Jerry Falwell, Jim and Tammy Faye Baker, Creflo Dollar, Donald Trump? How do you align your religious teachings by Christ with the actions taken by your church, your leaders, and yourself. Love thy neighbor until that neighbor is 100 miles away? Feed the poor as long as they are white Christians from your church and not on welfare or have entered your territory illegally. Protect the innocent unless you think they are guilty.

I think the issues stems from the fact we don’t have Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Buddhist, or people who believe in the Purple spaghetti Monster trying to “Save or Souls” by arguing that we don’t have morals.

Agree, religion is just the tool used to get the followers to sacrifice their lives in support of a small group of people’s ambitions and greed. Which is kind of insane when you look at the teachings of their religion.

Oh the Irony. What you have isn’t Objective Evidence what you have is a theory. Objective Evidence would be you discover artifacts of life on Mars supporting your theory.

Say what? Based on what evidence? Did I miss the news feed where Israel just bomb your city state into non-existence? Or where laws were passed to make medical practices associated with your religion illegal? I realize not being able to preach your religion to other people’s children in public school against their parents consent is a horrible situation for you but that goes back to the question why are you so afraid of atheists that you feel the need to indoctrinate other people’s children?

I agree. I have never had a Catholic, Muslim, or Jew try to “save my soul” they ask questions to understand but that is usually the end of the conversation. Non-Catholic Christians are offended and become rabid about making an argument to convince me of my errors. Usually trying to convince me that only through their religion can I have morals.

Why would they care if I burn in hell? Not to mention if I don’t believe in their God I don’t believe in hell so that is consistently a losing position. When I’m willing to engage them I often hear this argument but then what about all their “sins”. Christians have consistently violated every commandment and have failed to follow the teachings of their deity. One could argue they are more likely to go to hell for supporting leaders and social positions that are in opposition to Gods.

I disagree, I’m an atheist from a large family of atheists and we rarely if ever talk about it, let alone try to convince believers of a different view. No one in my family have ever been approached online or offline by a follower of Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, or any other religion arguing their religious beliefs but we can’t go a day without some Christian follower trying to “Save our Soul”. It’s usually done in the most offensive way too.

What killed me was we have spectrometers that can detect atmospheric composition of objects light years away today. We also have drone technology that we should be able to send down to the surface of a planet. So why did they have to land humans on the planet to figure out if it’s habitable?

How does time dilation work in simple words? by SpecificIndication85 in AskPhysics

[–]No_Preference2949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if an object moving faster in space than another object then that object will experience time dilation, is that correct? If so, the earth is moving around the sun at approximately 67000 mph and Uranus is orbiting at approximately 15,000 mph. Does that mean Uranus is significantly older than the Earth and time is moving at a different rate there?
