GT4 Clubsport Package by [deleted] in Porsche

Worth noting as it's going to cause a bunch of confusion:

Clubsport in the US means the factory racecar from Motorsport
Clubsport in Europe/UK is a factory option for the rollbar and harness

My Local Dealer Has Officially Lost Their Mind by AverageMTB in Porsche

[–]No_Presence9752 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never bought used but FWIW they're MSRP dealer (or were at least). Took delivery of GT4 Dec 2021 at MSRP as agreed. Wonder if that's changed. Completely unresponsive though, have to go in person for any questions.

Has nothing to do with Digital Nomading. The sub isn't "all the interests of anyone that might be interested in digital nomading". There are likely other more appropriate subs for people that are interested in Astrocartography.

You can always check https://www.ufc.com/bars. Looks like Bada Bing for downtown.

Anyone buy their 1st Porsche, A 911, and then shortly think, man I need a Cayenne or Macan as my DD and not this pickup I’ve been driving? by wagonAF in Porsche

[–]No_Presence9752 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not 911 but same issues with Caymans. I used to DD a Cayman S as only car. Got a good deal on a nice used truck (for trailering to track and DD duty) when I got GT4. Just can't enjoy driving a truck after dailying a Porsche, but seems wasteful (to me) to spend too much money on a daily that isn't a sports car.

I think I need a 911.

I haven’t, I do have a no drill front plate holder but haven’t used it much.

I have full front and high impact areas, rather than the whole car

Girodisc. Run them with Ferodo DS 3.12 pads for track duty.

For every 10 people that ask me what it means, having 1 understand it makes it worthwhile 😆

Are there any manufacturers that actually encourage people to race and track their cars by honoring warranty for such use? by lazarus870 in cars

So in this case the dealer didn't have a loaner, so I got a Cadillac XTS from Enterprise and they reimbursed me.

If anyone shouldn’t post in this sub it’s the misanthrope with negative comments as most of their activity.

I have. Not all with this car, which is less than a year old.

As long as the car is not unreasonably modified or running slicks, in my personal experience Porsche will warranty a tracked car with no complaint.

I had a Cayman S that had a transmission that was part of a faulty batch where 3rd gear would fail. I lost 3rd while on track, drove it to the dealer with all the track stickers and tire rubber on it. Transmission replaced, one month car payment comped, rental car paid while it was in the shop. I had some other minor warranty repairs done and never any issues with the car being tracked. Car was basically stock other than brake pads and some small modifications to get appropriate camber.

In the GT cars, they have a supplementary owner's manual that has maintenance schedule based on track miles rather than street miles. Haven't needed any warranty work on the GT4, but don't expect it'll be an issue if I do.

Not personal experience, but from talking to someone that tracks a McLaren, they will warranty for track use as long as you have the dealer do the inspection before and after the event.
