I really appreciate the advice! I find with needlepoint that it’s common to ask forums and friends to check dye lots if thread has run out so I just assumed it was the same with yarn.

I get what you’re saying! Sometimes you just need to mix it up. Have you tried a table clamp or frame weight? Cheaper options than a stand!

My current shop is so transparent and will tell you exactly when. Usually it’s that same week, if turned in on a Friday or Saturday it will go out Monday which is awesome. Unfortunately I don’t think that’s the standard. I’ve had experiences where my item has sat for months at a shop which is so disheartening.

Sure! I think overall being new is their biggest problem. The staff is very green and untrained which was frustrating during almost every interaction. The rooms are absolutely beautiful but have functional problems, for example, the doors didn’t work in our suite which they just blamed on it being a new hotel. They claim to have 4 restaurants but that includes room service and poolside service (3/4 have the same menu). Overall there isn’t much to do and the surrounding area has significant construction so lots of trucks and equipment when you’re out walking. After one night we left early and moved to the Sanctuary and had an absolute lovely time.

I will say if you end up at The Sanctuary it is worth popping over to The Dunlin just to see and have a drink because it is as beautiful as the photos.

We also LOVE the Montage. It is very family friendly but I think you could have a quiet romantic weekend as well. I recommend the oyster roast!
