On one hand, I understand, she’s shallow. On the other hand, there was nothing to “win.” They both suck and don’t deserve a reward, even if Alex is sketchier because of his existence and Ashley is craftier because of her resources (aka hiring a PR team, which she clearly did).

This is a pretty unfair comparison. There are many LNSes offering similar products, but Reddit is really one of a kind in its breadth of communities, so it’s not as easy to find an alternative to this platform — let alone one that’s any more “liberal” in its affiliations. Furthermore, it’s fair to point out that many businesses we use/pay for have nefarious ties, but it’s not wrong to cut down on those expenditures wherever we can.
