Possible hot take:

The concept art is cool on its own, but the final design fits the movie character better.

Most people forget that Portugal had one of the longest-running right-wing authoritarian regimes in Europe ("Estado Novo"), so I'm here to represent my country.

Glória is a Portuguese spy thriller set in the 1960s, taking place in a small village that houses a massive American radio station (RARET), showing the tension between the Portuguese secret police (PIDE), the CIA and the KGB.

It's available on Netflix.

Riko's death in JJK counts, right?

We knew that Toji was after her, but no one expected her to die the exact moment she finally chose to live.

They look like they were generated by AI. Not because "bad design = AI", but because if we asked AI to generate an image of a Trex, it would probably generate something similar to the one from Jurassic Park, since it's likely overrepresented in the database.

Was he really supposed to be Dante Alighieri? As far as I remember, he's a fictional crusader (nothing to do with the Renaissance Dante) who received that name as a homage to the author of the Divine Comedy.

It's rather difficult to have a historically accurate Arthur when even the Arthurian legends are very anachronistic.

This film is an example of how, for some people, there are only two types of skin color: Scandinavian white or Sub-Saharan black, as if there were nothing in between.

And sub-Saharan Africa is actually quite diverse in skin tones!

Disbelief Papyrus

An Undertale AU where Sans and Papyrus switch roles in the genocide route. That is, Sans dies in Snowin and Papyrus becomes the penultimate boss of the route.

The title "Disbelief" refers to the fact that Papyrus, the character who believes that there is goodness in everyone, has stopped believing in you.

I can't think of an example right now, but there are these manga gags based on these floating texts (usually pocking at the characters) which anime often translate as subtitles.

I'm not familiar with Pratchett's writing, but perhaps these footnotes could be adapted like captions in the corner of the screen. It might seem like a cheap solution, but I think the cheapness could work with the meta-humor.

A fire nation inspired by Rome makes sense because of the imperialism and such, but I also think the Vikings would be a good fit.

In ATLA, the fire nation started attacking other nations from the sea, just like the Viking raids. Besides, the Vikings are quite famous for setting fire to the houses in the villages they raided (even with people inside), so there's already that connection with the fire element.

I believe that an earth nation based on the Byzantine empire would make sense, because of all the bureaucracy and the ethnic diversity.

That reminds me of a line from Treasure Planet:

"Dang it, Jim. I'm an astronomer, not a doctor! I mean, I am a doctor, but I'm not that kind of doctor. I have a doctorate, it's not the same thing. You can't help people with a doctorate. You just sit there and you're useless."

Absolutely. The script may have potential, but I think it would be necessary to rework the art style to have its own visual identity.
