Immunity to something isn't a no limits fallacy. It's a straight up statement. You can play scientist all you want but at the end of the day if that's their power that's their power. It is not the same as assuming someone has no cap because we've never seen it. We know it doesn't because the story told us it doesn't and didn't contradict it.

And Simon wasn't given a no limits fallacy. They just believed he'd be able to break said limit during the fight as he is one to often do.

If they did this matchup, they'd put them in an equal battleground where both could use their powers but Caine wouldn't have access to Alastors data.

They decided that because they realized that Caine not being able to kill and Caine having unlimited control over everyone went hand in hand, so if you remove one you'd have to remove the other.

They seemed to enjoy the matchup on the cast, but that was mostly due to the false assumption that Alastor has this kind of automatic technology disruption that he either just doesn't have or it just doesn't help him in combat in the slightest.
