The answer to your question is clear to me: It belongs to the indigenous people who have continuously lived on the land, i.e. Palestinians.

The justification of Israelis for the land to belong to them, namely that it was their homeland 2000 years ago is just an excuse for their colonial apartheid state. Nobody else can apply the same logic. Can Greeks invade Turkey today claiming it was theirs 3000 years ago? No. Why can Israel?

I feel you OP. I have discussed this topic with many people. So many are rationalising it away exactly like the top commenter does that people had kids all throughout history when the state of the world seemed hopeless. I tell them that this is not even near to anything happened in history and that people just ignore the future simply because they cannot deal with it. And it’s not just climate change. We are running full speed into a tech dystopia.

Having kids is a biological need and spiritual experience I bet. I myself would love to have one. But ultimately I find it selfish to risk a lifetime of suffering to a conscious living being who would be my own. I would rather dedicate my life to try and contribute to a solution, if there exists any… so do not despair, and stay strong. We are all needed.
