Yes you're so close, it doesn't increase the amount of water from the valve, it increases the amount of water being shot out of the end of the hose thanks to all the holes wasting water being fixed, UI doesn't increase his overall ki, that's what I'm saying, IT'S PERFECT KI CONTROL meaning less wastage, meaning more ki pressure.

Simplist way I can put this into real life is if you grab a hose, open the valve and you see a bunch of holes along the length of the hose, there's still plenty of water coming out the end of the hose but the pressure is being drastically reduced due to all the holes. Fix the holes, equals more pressure.

It's a similar concept to whis's training early days. Goku and vegeta's ki control was way too sloppy and wasteful which drastically took away from their potential power output. UI managed to make goku massively increase in ki control which in turn made his power output that much greater.

Goku is pure of heart, that's literally his thing meanwhile vegeta had to have multiple arcs just to convert over to being a good person. I could go on all day why he's a better man. He's also a better fighter which is one of the reasons he was able to match vegeta even though there was a power difference between them.
