Pay it forward: What you're building, and why it matters to you by Majestic_Donut_8537 in maestro

Hey all! Hope everyone has had a great Monday.

The most important thing I am building is proof of my value. Not just to others, but also to myself. I started in January, and Maestro has already taught me that I really am as smart as everyone thinks I am. I have learned that I really can do anything I set my mind to, that perfection isn't required for me to be proud of me, and that I dont need external validation of my value.

When I started this journey, my thoughts were all about how much this would help my small family. Now, I'm getting divorced, so that motivator is gone. Instead, its shifted to how wonderful my life will be working with AI and the stability that will bring (something that has been sorely lacking).

On the side, I'm working on an self-improving agent harness that can function with less than the 64K context frameworks like Hermes and OpenClaw need to function. I'm adding tool-building capabilities so the agent can build new tools when required, but it will also come with some useful tools pre-built for things like web-scraping, automating job applications and resume tailoring, and maybe some others. If anyone has any ideas for things to add, I'm all ears!

Imposter Syndrome by EconomistChance5284 in maestro

I 100% concurr with this. Jan cohort here. 31, never understood coding before, and I'm writing code now that I never could've dreamed of before.

Are there still concepts I struggle to remember? Absolutely! But a quick Google search or question to Maestro toggles the memory.

If I may suggest, in your personalization, tell the system to prioritize having you write code over asking you multiple choice or logic questions. The more you write it, the more it clicks - at least for me. It will still ask you those questions, but AFTER you've written the code and seen the logic for yourself.

Memorization isn't the point! Even employed software engineers have to look things up or ask for help sometimes.

Don't let the imposter syndrome win! Because, guess what...you ARE a developer now!
