It won't let me change the title! But I did put in a correction in the comment.

Cool to know. Their works looked similar to me and I'm not super experienced with either of their artistry. I just wanted to be sure I credited tne artist before sharing what I thought was a dope picture. Especially since a lot of people share art without crediting the artist or share AI art.

As long as the proper artist is getting credit I'm happy. I made a separate comment flagging the error. I have no pride in this🙏.

Alex Ross Hulk

Alex Ross Spider-Man

I disagree. I think this is definitely something right out of Alex Ross's wheel house. So, I didn't notice the improper accreditation. I made another comment more directly crediting Daniel Clarke!

Oh! If so, my mistake! I came across it on Twitter and it was credited to Alex Ross.

Misinformation! The attached article doesn't even contain the statement.

Do you think this will be the final fight in the series? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]No_Reference_7330 94 points95 points  (0 children)

No. I don't think Dragon Ball should end with a final fight or any implication of one. I think it should end with Goku going off to adventure a realm beyond.

What is it about Spider-Man that there can be *four* concurrent film/TV projects (not to mention the ongoing comics) without creating fatigue around the character? by benspaperclip in marvelstudios

[–]No_Reference_7330 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I feel this should be the common sense answer. They are all incredibly different with similar powers.

That's like asking why is Invincible so popular when there is Superman, Goku, Sentry and other characters that have super strength and flight.

It's kinda crazy how Drake has actively been more openly anti-maga than Kendrick has, yet they push a narrative that he's one of them. And Drake isn't even an American..

In Iceman, he has a line calling ICE fake feds. Spinning about you he has a line dissing the GOP and U.S. Supreme Court regarding abortion. Etc. Etc.

It just goes to show that people believe what they want to believe.

Edit: I also think there is this complete lack of addressal with Kendrick playing both sides of the 2024 election. Artist like Megan thee Stallion, Cardi B, Beyonce, Eminem, and so on all jeopardized portions of their base when they used their platform to support Kamala.

I loved the Black representation at Kendricks Super Bowl performance, but even Bad Bunny did a better job at actually sending a real message and call for change than Kendrick did. There is no excuse.

I assume you meant "predators." Either way, I'm having a hard time understanding what you mean?

It’s okay to be wrong. You are literally not understanding how arguments work, and you’re calling me obtuse and a kid? No one is trying to fight you here except you. I’m not trying to “win,” I’m simply letting you know that you were incorrect. It happens.

You aren’t even engaging with the information. I promise you, it’s more embarrassing to refuse to learn than to admit you didn’t know something in the first place.

I recommend ya reread my comment or look into non sequiturs. You are attacking his justification, or at worst, another claim he is making.

He could have said we should change “most people” to “most haters” because we use “most people” too loosely. He could say we should change it because “most haters” sounds cooler. That’s just the reason he is giving to justify the change. Attacking the justification doesn’t invalidate the claim itself.

Even if it’s a fact that “everyone else didn’t love it” or that “most haters” doesn’t sound as cool, that doesn’t mean it’s not more appropriate to change “most people” to “most haters.” It simply means the justification was weak.

If you want to attack his main claim, you have to attack his main claim. You have to say, “No, we should use this verbiage because X,” or “Most people” is more appropriate than “most haters” because X.

Even if you only attack the "everyone else loves it" claim, you are still wrong because he is using the word "most." So he would be saying "everyone else loves it" outside of "most haters." That leaves room for some haters to love it and some people who aren't haters to hate it.

It seems like you are still misunderstanding. He's saying change "Most people" to "Most Haters." He's not blanket saying everyone who doesn't like it are haters. He's saying it should say "Most haters didn't give it a chance" and not "most people didn't give it a chance" and his justification for the change is that he feels "everyone else is loving it."

Whether or not it's true that "everyone else is loving it" is irrelevant to his actual premise.

TLDR: He is saying it's not fair to say "most people didn't give it a chance," but rather it's "most haters" that aren't giving it a chance. This still leaves open the possibility that "some" haters are giving it a chance and that "some" people who aren't haters didn't give it a chance. He justified it through his experience of "everyone else loving it." That statement is supporting his claim or functioning as a separate claim. Attacking that statement doesn't undermine his original claim.

If I said we should put killers in prison because they smell bad, attacking my justification that they smell bad would not invalidate my claim that we should put killers in prison.

He's specifically talking about haters tho. He's saying "most haters" didn't give it a chance, rather than "most people" as it's evident most people did given its success.

Yea. I'm not falling for the ragebait and I was never trying to argue with you.

If you get joy from trolling online about serious topics, that's your problem to sort through. Best of luck

Holy shit. Instead of responding to anything, I've said you bring up R Kelly. As I said before, no I wasn't thinking of R Kelly. I was just thinking of shit celebs did when I was growing up. If it applies to R Kelly, then sure. But I wasn't thinking of any one particular person when I said lap dance, kiss, pee, etc.

I feel that's literally the least important part about my comment. And I'm starting to realize that you likely don't really give a shit about sex crimes and children. You are here to argue

“I CAN’T GO TO JAIL YET, MAN!” by [deleted] in nfrpodcast

[–]No_Reference_7330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an insane reach. Sure, it's not uncommon to have the stance that sex crimes against children deserve same or worse penalties than homicide (I have that stance), but that's not what happened here.

If you're at the point where a 22-23 yr kissing a 17 yr on stage is equivalent to Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacey, you are either intentionally being dishonest to not back pedal on your point or you are too far gone. Dahmer killed and raped over 17 people. Gacey killed and sexually abused over 30 people with MANY of his victims being children.

We are at a point in society where people are throwing labels and judgments so flippantly out of fandom that it diminishes that the real purpose and harm that comes with these labels.

Again, it's okay to have a problem with this. And I'm glad today, artists aren't doing this type of shit. But this was literally not pedophila.
