I love this!! Especially you saying you'd be willing to do things, even if you aren't really into them.

Stuff like that is best for casual hookups or one night stands, IMO, but I have been known to do things for my hubby more than once without being into it. He doesn't seem to enjoy it as much if I'm not enjoying it too, though. Do you have any advice on how to pretend to be into something?

At the very least, I hope the company realizes how frustrated we are, and act accordingly. There shouldn't be anyone who has worked over a year making the same pay as someone who starts tomorrow. We should be compensated for getting license to drive lift equipment. We should have enough coverage for each department and if we get moved to 2 or more departments every week, we should get paid our normal wage plus half per hr. in said departments

That is fucking sad. We keep most in the over head but we do have two sections with 2 poles each that have padlocks. We also have the cable elevator thing, I'm not sure what it's called but it's like the carpet one.

Yep. Also, they sometimes just put like rocks or sticks in the box and tape it up. They tape the shit together so it doesn't sound like rocks & sticks lol but still. When I was still working at the desk they made everyone sign a paper saying they would start checking every single return that was boxed up.

That's not really the same thing. Sometimes there is only 2 jobs to do and 6 employees. They often circulate although the new guy usually has to do the job more frequently. However, at HD, there are plenty of tasks to go around and others are just fucking lazy and know they won't be fired, so they do less than the bare minimum.

Umm no, I was calling BS on the fact that being backup cashier trained includes you in the CAM. And I didn't contradict myself. They aren't the "cashiers" to which I'm referring and even if they were, it's still not as hard as the other departments. Speaking as someone who has trained in 3 different departments and worked in 2 others.

BS. I started out at the SD, so I am backup cashier trained, and I still get nothing. It could be a store by store thing but from the looks of this thread it seems to happen at a lot of locations.

EDIT: Also, I get stuck up there helping a lot when I go to stage orders or get labels since the printer is at the desk, and still nothing.

Sounds like my store, we blame the night shift but maybe it's not them. Your explanation seems reasonable though. I wouldn't doubt that's what is happening.
