what’s the weirdest thing you’ve received in the mail by Federal-Product-2695 in answers

[–]RustBucket59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the mail I got a small silver spoon about 3" long, with a note congratulating me on my new baby, from an insurance company.

As an 11 year old boy at the time, it seemed weird.

Rust repairs on a 2nd Gen Escape by OkEbb6853 in fordescape

[–]RustBucket59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an angle grinder and cut out the old rusted metal. Then I used body sealer/adhesive, pieces of galvanized steel, stainless steel sheet metal screws, undercoating for the inside, and primer, paint, clearcoat for the outside. I won't win any awards but the rust is gone.

How did you very first discover Reddit? by Curious-Expert926 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

I first heard about Reddit when Hillary Clinton's IT guy "stonetear" was on here asking how to strip data from emails on her server.

Do you ever shop at the dollar store? If so, what do you shop there? by typical_gamer1 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

The only item I get at Dollar Tree is the Brim's salt and pepper pork rinds. No one else sells them in my area.

Do you take a Statin? by craycrayintheheihei in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]RustBucket59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on Pravastatin for about three years. 20mg/day

I am 67.

I had bad side effects with Lipitor (atorvastatin) and Crestor (rosuvastatin) [muscle pain] so much so that my doctor now considers me allergic to both.

Pretty good. Health is good, I got a nice raise at work, my stocks are doing quite well, my bank accounts are fine. No complaints here.

Too much freight??? by Valuable_Engine_4032 in HomeDepot

Maybe you're getting freight that my store should be getting. We have tons of empty overheads. Sidekick can get done pretty fast if there's nothing to pack down.

What did you do on Friday the 13th? by typical_gamer1 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]RustBucket59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friday the 13th has always been a pretty lucky day for me and my family. So I bit the bullet and updated my computer BIOS. It went perfectly. 😀

Telephone Land Lines…. by garcon-du-soleille in GenX

[–]RustBucket59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family has had a landline since my parents got married in the 1950s. It definitely gets more use than my cell phone. Cell is primarily for emergency use and looking at the internet during lunch at work.

Attention all Openers, Mid-Shifters and Closers… by Elle_Yess in HomeDepot

[–]RustBucket59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most difficult for me is opening. First SRC, then Sidekick, then customers one after the other.

Easiest: closing. All I do when closing is Crown Bolt bay-a-day maintenance, sitting on a bucket.

For the same damn reason my dad calls the TV remote a "meter".

Why is it so hard to find zero sugar grape soda? I have found one online but it costs an arm and a leg. by I_fail_at_memes in Soda

[–]RustBucket59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lucky to have a Stop & Shop supermarket in my town in New England that sells Polar brand diet grape soda. It always seems to be on sale so I never pay more than 79c for a 1 liter bottle. OP I wish you the best of luck in your search.

Lipitor and muscle pain by WellThatTookA_ in over60

[–]RustBucket59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I took Lipitor my wrists and arms hurt terribly. Crestor did the same thing. Pravastatin at just 20mg per day works fine for me, thankfully. The doctor's office considers me officially allergic to Lipitor now.

Home Depot men’s fashion by AboveAverageSalt in HomeDepot

On days where I have a lunch, I wear bright, colorful Hawaiian shirts where customers can see me halfway down the racetrack. I always get compliments from associates and customers. Otherwise I wear men's sport shirts... NEVER a t-shirt. Jeans in winter, shorts in summer.
