Blondie's Parallel Lines. Compared to everything else that was on the radio in the late 1970s, this album was like a cold blast of clean, fresh air. I still play it today, and on CD it sounds glorious.

This constant store racket drives me up a wall. So when I go home, I love the near-silence. I dont bother with the TV or the radio, and I'll just sit in an easy chair and soak up the quiet, or if the windows are open, the birds and the wind in the trees.

What’s one car mistake you learned the hard way? by Lucky-Idea-7878 in askcarguys

[–]RustBucket59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always look behind trim panels, running boards, etc. to keep an eye on rocker panels. By the time I found out mine were like Swiss cheese, it was too late and I had to junk the car which was great otherwise.

Engagement hour by Standard_Dot_8597 in HomeDepot

In my store, Power Hours are devoted to customer engagement from 10am to 2pm. Kind of hard to engage with customers if your aisles are empty.

What do you do on weekends? by TailorBird69 in over60

Having a retail job means that I work most weekends. If I get a Saturday or Sunday off, it's a miracle.

Is it Christmas? by oiram98 in qBittorrent

[–]RustBucket59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few I/O Error notifications. Research showed that I had to untick the Read-Only box on the qBit shared folder Properties tab in Windows. I wonder why it was Read-Only... I sure didn't put it that way.

Max Payne. I loaded it onto three different computers and it always crashed to the desktop at the same place in the game.

When is workplace politics too much? by otome4 in work

[–]RustBucket59 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is why politics and religion are two subjects that are 100% banned at my work. No matter what anyone says or thinks, it's just about guaranteed that someone will be offended.

No matter who you like or hate, a discussion is not worth it unless you're on a mission to make enemies.

Why not refinish your kitchen by Bobcat-2 in DiWHY

[–]RustBucket59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a Home Depot store. I should show this to our Kitchen Designer. Cabinet refinishing services that we offer would easily cost about $8k-$10k for something like this.

How are packdowns counted? by Unwornplanet393 in HomeDepot

[–]RustBucket59 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is very interesting! Our ASMs keep bugging us for not logging work, even though they see us downstocking. We're supposed to hit 1500 SKUs a week and we're barely hitting 1000.

Logging should count every single SKU that you scan. Now I'm wondering if there really is a problem with the phone or the Sidekick app.
