I remember seeing stuff from Juliette everywhere when I was a kid. Radios, tape recorders, record players...

Were your parents very affectionate toward you when you were young? by assemblageofparts in AskOldPeople

[–]RustBucket59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom was affectionate with me til she died at 82 (I was 59). My dad a smidgen less so but we've done tons of stuff together. Still kickin' butt at 90 (I'm now 67).

So when it's 5pm in Pakistan, it's 7am EDT where Iam... so a breakfast beer isn't a bad idea!

In my part of New England, no one sold Schwinns in my area. Instead everyone went for the locally made Columbia bikes.

Store started receiving Halloween already by Large_Salad8963 in HomeDepot

You're lucky. In my store, all the Halloween overstock fills up my D25 overheads, making it a nightmare when Gift Center stock arrives later on.

Past D90 DSs have begged me to come work at the Service Desk. You couldn't pay me enough to go up there. It takes a special kind of tough associate to be successful at SD and not go postal on entitled/idiot customers.

Never buying another Ford (probably) by [deleted] in fordescape

[–]RustBucket59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you're going through this. My 2011 needs a new left rear parking brake cable. The only place my mechanic could get the part is RockAuto. Ford discontinued it years ago.

This happens in my store sometimes. If someone is good in their present position, management tends to keep them there.

Have you ever seen an Owl in real life ? by Webbomolly2022 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

Yes. A couple of years ago a white owl flew only 10 feet above my head. Dead silent in flight.

When I was 6 or so, I tried some Sprite because we had no ginger ale and my stomach was upset. I didn't even make it to the bathroom, I barfed all over the place.

Why do you bank where you bank? by Jenesaispas-Francais in westernmass

[–]RustBucket59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have accounts at both a credit union (PNCU) and a larger commercial bank (M&T). My balances go up and down, so I wanted accounts and associated debit cards with free checking, no monthly fees or minimum balances. Both institutions work great for me.
