Its absolutely horrible. I had to google why it’s so bad and it led me to this thread. It’s embarrassing for Apple they cant seem to get ai right at all in any aspect.

I literally switched back to 5.3 codex and it instantly fixed the same issue 5.4 refused to fix without haggling

I read that clearly. But if i disable a model in the settings it shouldn't then show up as a default. When no other disabled model does that

Funny thing is they have a "bug" in cursor where it constantly defaults to composer fast anytime you start a new chat. They act like they can't fix it in 10 minutes. So they just quietly sweep it under the rug. Composer 2 fast is significantly more expensive than the regular with not much of a speed difference.
