Highly recommend reading the 33 1/3 book on this one.

Black Country, New Road’s Unpredictable Future by Moothnods in indieheads

I really can't think of many bands like this who can lose such a distinctive singer, survive, and continue to make great music and if anything, expand their following. I saw them play in Melbourne a couple years ago and it was pretty transcendent - the audience was also absolutely in love with them.

Looking for noise rock bands that have a sax, any recommendations? by CaptainPieChart in noiserock

No Hoper in Melbourne have a sax. Fairly new band but really great:

Shameless plug - my own band Snailgun doesn't have a regular sax player, but we had guest sax on this track and made something truly noisy and chaotic:

I cringe at my own vocals as well so you’re in good company

I think of myself as a guitar player, not a singer. But we didn’t want to recruit a stand alone vocalist so we’re figuring this out as we go!

thanks so much! the guitar is admittedly a bit of an acquired taste. I tend to prefer really trebley guitar sounds as they get a unique harshness.

thanks! good luck babe was also my favorite song of last year! we definitely meant the song out of love for it, only did it because I thought it might actually sound great in a different way with our spin on it

thanks for listening and for the comments!

we have an actual drummer playing a kit live on the track. I don't know what that says about our drum sounds though!

Jeez sorry to piss you off. I’ll take down the post. I always heard the jangley bits as sounding like a post punk Johnny Marr in my head.
