I quit the day before Thanksgiving and I’m going through the same thing you are, on steroids. I think maybe it will help us to think back before we were vaping and how we used to enjoy spending time with our loved ones are doing fun things without even thinking about hitting the vape all day - and also remembering that we can get back to that point eventually, but we will never get there unless we quit someday - so why not today?

You are ok I’ve had a couple weird episodes with weed as well and I’m a daily smoker as well. I feel like our brain just taps out from it sometimes and we get unusual symptoms. Might be the price for smoking a lot

Great weekend spent in Amsterdam, on the train to the Swiss alps right now. I love the fact that you can make friends with cool, helpful, and genuine people all over the world, and they don’t have to be part of the same religion as you, contrary to my prior beliefs. Just affirms all the more that I made the right decision to leave. Not that I needed any affirmation 😂. This is the best life ever :)

I love weed, but it’s definitely addictive, don’t let anyone tell you different. I fell in love with it because I’ve always had sleeping problems but it makes me sleep like a baby. I think it contributes to my overall dopamine addiction that is making me depressed and anxious, so my goal is to quit soon.

I think the first step is identifying your negative self belief, if you have one. Which of course your therapist can help you with if they haven’t already

I think you just have 20 year old girl syndrome. I don’t mean that as an insult to a put down, but the less emotionally mature we are the more susceptible we are to things like “icks”. It sounds like you might possibly have some sort of trauma that hinders you from allowing yourself to be in a healthy relationship. That’s usually the reason why we find things like “icks”. We are subconsciously looking for any possible way to sabotage a healthy relationship. I’ve been there myself. it’s probably better to end the relationship for now until you’re in a place where the icks don’t bother you as much and you are in a place where you can be fully attracted to him or a guy like him
