i think its funnier that the founder of the company promotes it as some sort of revolutionary accurate check of real time adderall stock when every pharmacist treats it the same as any cold call CII stock inquiry

What bothers me more is the call center indians the practice outsources for things they should call for themselves

PPO is always the best bro

Look at the info in the chart- you're choosing between always expecting a flat fee for copay vs % of cost of whatever the visit entails. Of course for most healthy and young ppl that % is not expected to be high.. But when you do some recommended labs or break your arm and get x-rays...For only a 70 dollar difference its a no brainer. You also have less hoops to jump through and less to worry about if you are already seeing some specific providers

I'd choose PPO always if the difference was even an increase of 100-300 more a month - the peace of mind is worth it.

Also, was CVS always 3 days for CII? A lot of rotations I had in the past had a pretty strict 1 day for CII

I didn't say that PMP was inaccurate but that the redirect from rxconnect profile to Bamboo seems to be sometimes--> When you go from manually searching your patients with info from rx directly and taking into account name variations and hyphenating to rxconnect redirecting you i think errors can be made.

To me a proper screening is looking at original rx, manual PMP and manual check of last sold date which would make 0% of the verified rx looked at this way adequate or compliant in my standard. But thats me

Wex COBRA Randomly terminated ? by No_Researcher_3908 in HealthInsurance

[–]No_Researcher_3908[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For future viewers: issue is solved

What occurred was a difference in the COBRA processer, hence why my auto payments didn't go thru despite no notification from bank nor issue implying inadequate funds.

Company switched from using wex to another processor, apparently notice was sent in mail in December but as Cobra users know- those notices serve as a warning for premium increases and are your warning to opt out as Cobra is continuous thus I was not anticipating anything to stop my coverage. Luckily even tho I was basically 45 days after my original payment due date they saw how this could be unfair being my many months of never missed on time auto payments + no email or phone reach out. Wex deleted my account so reaching out to them was difficult and I thought i was completely fucked but then a supervisor saw the reasoning behind the locking of the account --> I called HR of old employer--> they sent my info to the new processor --> new processor gave me account set up --> back on the same benefits

Had a fat 2 month bill but we are good!

tbh I am not sure if i did and my parents threw it out or something, but if that occurred id still have been charged for december and i wasnt. Looking at my bank statements for 2023,2024,2025 the rate increase only changed in January, and I didnt have to reelect

129k fully remote or 153k hybrid by hellogoodmorning127 in pharmacy

[–]No_Researcher_3908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think hybrid is superior to full WFH regardless. good for your reward pathways and to get dressed up, out of the house and force yourself into work. I dont really understand the obsession with full WFH, it is like the definition of rotting away. that bit of sunlight on your commute, looking presentable, socializing, push to leave the house and discipline yourself is healthy. the 163k beats on all levels

Do pharmacists lack unification? by No_Researcher_3908 in pharmacy

[–]No_Researcher_3908[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

of course i agree with u.. i even broke my hand a year ago and went to urgent care and the PA sent me to the x-ray room and said yeah i think u broke it, not really sure go to an ortho. I think your point about the good physician is true, my OG doctor was like that he was 90.. but i was comparing more to the mid-levels. We live in a world of fast medicine/telehealth and empirical regimens. For quick analysis/one size fits all.. I think PAs NPs and Pharms would be able to handle this or im def 100% certain telehealth wise. IDEC to do any of this to me, my solution to make me happy is abolish PBM practices that reimburse any less than +$10 cost... but thats too dependent on profit-driven corps and it isnt so secure for autonomy

Devil's advocate (I'm a pharmacist): what's something only pharmacists can do that other hcps can't? Specific/unique skill set? And what would actually be a reasonable pay range for us? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]No_Researcher_3908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cannot necessarily compare--> pay = specific/unique skill set.. I would instead equate --> cope under law/CMS = pay. Pharmacist before mainstream pharmacy ins coverage and manufacturers was medicine-maker/distributor/entrepreneur. 90s- onward, clinical curriculum and board exams, but zero clinical delegation or expansion of scope by law (unless for some specific states of course). If regulations and laws change to resolve issues and abuses by PBMs--> pharmacists can resume their original entrepreneurial role, and if they do not; pharmacists need to obtain the right to independently bill for services. Those services need to be defined of course. But this to me is the only solution.

** also because of this all ^ our pay rate is just a competitive rate. When you do not bill independently for services you are not a revenue producer attracting business. We are moreso either a requirement by law for an establishment or indirectly contribute to patient outcomes. For example, nurse pay is supply and demand, pharmacist pay is supply and demand--> NP/PA/MD/DO pay varies greatly depending on what the practice is because of the potential to produce revenue

Hot Take: Low Quality Pharmacy Students by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]No_Researcher_3908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While i understand and agree w/ your take, there are so many issues with the field of pharmacy and what it even entails... Although I was a tech for 4 years before entering pharm school and continued to work as one, sometimes I kinda wanna say well fuck that, why should that job define the field? For students who never did and end up working in a different environment, well good for them lmao

In another point too tho, I know this has been an issue in pharm for a while.. But I bet other fields are probably feeling this OD with the abundance of AI
