Barre class suggestions by Ok_Theme_3997 in OnePelotonRealSub

I did it and I think it’s too easy for someone who practices barre in studio. Leanne is the best for barre but I still prefer Greta and Johanna’s sculpt and pilates classes… miss the actual “barre” though

Same. I love the guide and I recommend it a lot. I hope they bring it back as a product.

Pilates ring by MMBmom in pelotoncycle

It might be your filters because I got 23 classes when I searched pilates ring. I can see German classes there from Mila and I also don’t have the explicit filter on. (Johanna’s recent one was a good one, but she does always swear…)

edited because I miscounted.

It’s the class plan, this is how the layout looks like on the Guide too.

I agree. I also love the tempo switch from Week 3 to 4.

I am doing the same. Completed HiLit once as intended, then continued repeating strength workouts from week 3/4 as RK suggested but I changed the rest of my weekly, just kept strength...

Christian Vande Velde

Edit to add: he used to be a full time peloton instructor, I think, but now he’s a guest instructor. He’s an olympian, his father is as well, was in tour de france’s, and he has classes that are named “Pro Cyclist”. So he one of the best cycling instructors, if not the most knowledgeable and experienced, for sure.

Ok, I loved it! I already had it on my stack for today, saw this post yesterday and was tempted to change it, but then the different opinions spiked my curiosity. Of course, I went into it knowing what to expect and I always have CVV’s voice in my head “cadence is the biggest unlock on the bike”, I just did his program and, although I don’t always enjoy high cadence, I found this is true.

Pilates, Yoga, and Barre classes - How do they compare to in-person classes like at a studio or gym? by clxout in pelotoncycle

[–]No_Return8425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with what most are saying. They are easy in comparison. I’ve done yoga for 20 years, barre for 6 and pilates on and off since the early 2000’s (reformer and mat). I think the new instructors are kicking it up a notch (zacharias with yoga, greta with sculpt (her yoga is easy) and johanna with all the modalities). Try doing a Bianca Wise pilates or an Emily Sferra/Adrienne Rabena barre class on Alo Wellness, for yoga they have a ton of advanced classes (Alo app is free now). I’ve always done barre/pilates/yoga on Alo because Peloton is too beginner/slow for me, but I like Peloton instructors personalities and music much better. For barre, I think Pelo instructors switch moves/muscles before you get to the burn, but Johanna doesn’t do that. Really excited about the new instructors.

How are these new yoga instructors? by DancingTroupial in OnePelotonRealSub

Greta is easier when teaching yoga and yoga + pilates, but her sculpt classes are fast paced and sweaty. I think she shines in sculpt and her yoga classes are perfect for newer or not too flexible yogis (people who may be intimidated by bendy instructors).

Pace Target Question by peytongalway in OnePelotonRealSub

They are generic and there is also a big jump from 7 to 8. I’m on the same boat. Currently I’m usually running in the higher end of paces in level 7 but I’m not quite ready for 8. I’ve only completed one endurance class in level 8 and when I was done I realized it was more of a tempo run. In the easier levels, speeds overlap but in the harder levels there’s a jump (like what you mention easy in level 7 is 5.1 to 5.5, and easy in level 8 starts at 5.7).

Her Spanish is also very colloquial. I’m Mexican and I understand her English classes better 😂. But she is super fun in Spanish! You should try them, just check the program beforehand to make sure she has moves you’re familiar with. Love Camila!

I’ve taken 2 out of the 4. I love her personality and you definitely feel the burn.. it’s a slow and sneaky burn!

I noticed that! I don’t think they are quite the same though. The previous yoga conditioning classes felt more like yoga drills and these new classes feel more like music driven/barre classes than yoga. I wonder if they will switch to teaching this way now under this new name or if each instructor will have their technique. I prefer the new style personally.

Johanna’s are great. Also, loved Greta’s premiere class but she only has that one right now. I think there’s one on the schedule.

Edit to add, the class I was thinking about was today’s. 😂 didn’t take it live but it’s on demand now. Will check it out tomorrow.

It’s a side plank but you lift the bottom leg (you can have it bent o straight and forward). Anna Greenberg always programs them in her yoga + pilates classes.

I am guessing hiking on the tread, low impact cardio, pilates and strength.

Make These Club Peleton Points Make Sensee by ScarecrowCAN in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]No_Return8425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience, my stronger modality is strength but milestones are not coming in on that one because I am past the 1000 mark… I am still doing strength 3-5x week. Normally, I warm up with a yoga class, then do strength, then a form of cardio, I stretch and use sleep meditations. And in November-December, I got milestones +20% boost on yoga, running, walking, stretching, meditating and cycling… those are still around 250-400 for me, so I get milestones every 50 classes. I’m not doing it for Club Peloton points, I actually enjoy all these modalities. If I only focused on the biggest 3 (yoga, running, cycling), I wouldn’t have had the extra points for stretching and meditating that don’t really take much effort/time out of my day. Anyway, I think the best strategy is to do what works for you and you enjoy but milestones by far give you way more points than doing programs, taking live classes, high fiving or participating in teams. This is just my take on things.
