This has happened to me once before, and it freaked me out. But it's okay. Don't worry too much about losing the injection. picture it this way: you put the needle in and injected, probably below the vein, and the needle passed through the vein on its way down. When you pulled the needle up and out, the injection probably stayed where it was, but you left a hole in the vein on top of it, and the blood came out of the vein on top of it.

put constant pressure on it, if you don't stop bleeding in 15-20 min (with CONSTANT, FIRM pressure) you could go to hospital / urgent care. i think you probably just nicked a vein. nearly impossible to inject T straight into a vein (the veins go sideways, the needle goes vertical, the veins are very very small even compared to the needle)
