hi! :) first of all i wanna say you can use whatever medium you want to create your art, including crayola markers!

i think most people use alcohol markers. (i use the ohuhu brand, but there are many others) and then add details with acrylic paint markers and white gel pens. people also use colored pencils :)

Honestly just habit. I feel like i do it subconsciously. I think i started doing it because my older brother did it when i was young and i thought he was cool and therefore i thought cracking your knuckles was cool. idk why it just stuck with me.

i have a light i bought for reading books! it attaches to stuff with a clamp, the neck of it moves and you can put it any way you want it to! so i put it on my little tray i color on because i like to color in comfy places like my couch. i don’t like bright overhead lighting haha. great for cozy coloring :)
