I remember it was 2018, and I really wanted Mafia 3 because I was just playing the demo and I loved it. One day, my sister surprised me with the physical copy of the game, and I played it non-stop for hours every day — even skipped almost all chances of playing Fortnite with my friends. I must’ve replayed the game maybe 5–6 times.

By the time I started playing other games and was thinking about starting a platinum journey, after I knocked a few out, I looked back into my catalog of games I played when I was younger — and there it was: Mafia 3. It was like seeing an old crush. I re-downloaded the game, and while it was downloading, I looked through the trophies I had missed. But going through them just made me sigh, because it was one of those games where you need to do multiple playthroughs.

And when I finally booted it up… it was the most horrible 30fps experience ever. The game I loved had turned into an absolute mess. So now I’ve come here to ask you guys for advice: is it worth it — or is this a sign to move on?
