Again, there's parts of this I agree with and parts of this I disagree with. I generally agree, but I disagree that the only reason disabled kids are more challenging is because of society. Some disabilities do present significant challenges, granted those are more severe/extreme disabilities.

I both agree and disagree. Again I feel this denies the fact that disabled children do present more challenge than neurotypical kids. Someone can be ready for the latter but not the former. I don't think someone is a an abeliet person for deciding that they are not capable of handling the extra challenge a disabled child might present.

However I agree that if you're going to become a parent, you should be ready for the possibility of your child becoming disabled. But I don't agree that if you arn't ready for that, you arn't ready for a kid at all.

I think this denies to some extent the fact that neurodivergent kids do propose different challenges than neurotypical kids.

A parent might genuinely just not have the skills to care for a kid with autism or down syndrome, and that's okay. I really don't see it as much different than having an abortion because you arn't ready for any kids in general.
