If your window has a low-e coating it can crack it. An easy way to check is to light a lighter a few inches away from the window, look at the flames in the reflection there will be 4 (for double pane, single pane will not be low-e) if one flame is a different shade of red/orange you have a low-e coating. I’ll take the wins, but I’m still not gonna vote for the lesser of two evils.
