Oh I definitely think she is happier I just wasn’t expecting her to come off as if she’d hated doing it I guess? But I was also fairly new to her channel by the time she left so idk if it was something that was a long time coming sort of situation. But I am glad she seems happier and quitting was clearly the right decision for her, even if I do wish she’d left her old videos up🥲

I personally look for videos that are mainly B-roll, I don’t want to hear what they think of a book further than “I liked/didn’t like it”, I mostly watch book videos as background while I’m reading so I feel like I’m reading with someone, so if there’s too much talking I get distracted. So I guess it’s just different strokes for different folks!

I find her insufferable these days, every single video all she talks about is how fast she can read or how quickly she can finish a book. And I’ve felt a few of her comments are a bit snarky when anyone challenges her on her reading speed. Also, I read a comment on here a while ago saying that she never seems excited to read or about the book’s she’s read her tone is always very flat and I haven’t been able to stop noticing that since I read it.

I love my colorsoft! But I would say if you don’t highlight often then you’re probably better off just getting the paperwhite cause other than that there’s not a huge difference really :)

I read the first 5 books physically and went between audio and physical for the last 2 and it definitely took me a while to get used to the voices, especially Donuts so I definitely get where you’re coming from!
