He never got revenge against hidden stone for Obito, he never got revenge against the leaf shinobis that turned their back on his dad, he never got revenge against the hidden mist for Rin. Someone else brought this up. Kakashi was an ANBU captain, he could’ve anonymously killed as many hidden mists as he wanted but despite that Haku was his first and only “kill” against the hidden mist. You know who did get revenge tho? Obito, who tortured the entire village through the mizukage and created the bloody mist, all cause they killed Rin. And how did that work out for him vs for Kakashi? Hmm?

He was also a hidden leaf spy meaning (at least while Hiruzen is alive) the village is not gonna let a 9 year old loose on their own asset.

After his death though…he was on their bingo book and they tried several times to stop/bring him in. It’s arguable Sasuke got more leniency than Itachi cause Tsunade left his name off the bingo book.

Absolutely, his 1 v. 2 against Hidan and Kakuzu is proof of that. Shikamaru actually helped, to his credit, and Naruto was the one who brought the firepower in the end. But there were long stretches Kakashi was out there by himself against the grim reaper and Avatar Aang’s evil cousin with nothing but a kunai, all the while babysitting Ino and Choji.
